This digital keypad is a MegaCode series of wireless radio controls designed for use with automatic garage door and gate operators. The MegaCode radio format provides unparalleled security with more than a million different codes. In operation, the user enters their unique code on the unit’s keypad (1 to 6 digits long) and presses the button to activate the door operator. For up to 30 seconds after the last activation, the keypad can be re-triggered by simply pressing the button again. This allows the user to stop or reverse the opener quickly, without having to re-enter their code. The keypad has built-in keypad lighting for use at night or in dark areas. The clear silicone keys are backlit with a soft blue glow. Press the light button at any time to activate the keypad backlight. To turn the overhead operator light on or off, enter the user code, then press the light button. The keypad lockout timer will disable the keypad after 10 activations. The keypad must remain idle for 30 seconds before new attempts. MegaCode receivers are programmed by sending a signal from the user’s transmitters. This stores the transmitter’s code into the receiver’s memory. The receiver will retain its memory even without power and will only activate from these “memorized” transmitters. Each keypad code can be considered a different transmitter. Each MegaCode receiver can remember a maximum of 10 transmitter codes. Any combination of portable transmitters and keypad codes up to the maximum number can be entered.

Question: | can this keypad be programmed to open two different doors, using separate codes |
Answer: | No, it can only program to one motor per keypad. |
Question: | Sometimes it opens but most times I can see the garage opener light blinking inside but the door does not open. What could be wrong |
Answer: | Odd, I do not have this issue with mine. Have you tried taking it off and being inside your garage to ensure it works? I did that with mine before I mounted to make sure it would work. Also, how far away is this from your receiver? Mine is about 10-15 feet (give or take) from the garage receiver. I also mounted mine on the 'inside' part of the garage frame and not the brick to have a better line of site. |
Question: | I installed the keypad and it seems to work but the keys tend to stick down. Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix this |
Answer: | No - do not have that problem, it works nicely. |

The Linear PRO Access digital transmitter is a wireless radio control designed for use with automatic garage and gate operators. Each of the transmitter buttons will send a unique code when pressed. One button can be used to activate the individual’s garage door opener, a second button can operate an access gate, a third button can activate an additional garage door operator. Linear PRO Access transmitters and receivers do not contain a typical “coding switch”. Each transmitter is permanently coded at the factory. The receiver is programmed by “learning” a transmitter’s unique digital code. The receiver will activate only from the “memorized” transmitters. The transmitter is powered by a Type CR2032 “coin-cell” battery. They should last at least 1 year with normal use. The indicator light on the transmitter will glow when the unit is activated. If the indicator lights dimly, or not at all when transmitting, the battery needs to be replaced. To conserve battery life, an internal timer limits the transmission duration to 20 seconds if a transmitter button is held down.

User questions & answers
Question: | Does this work with Wayne dalton openers |
Answer: | I understand that it is not about the brand, but the Hz of the signal. It all depends on the color of the learn button, assuming your talking about openers made within the last 20 years. Before that they had dip switches. Figure out how many GHz or MHz or what-ever your opener is, then seek a remote with the same. 427Troy |
Question: | Does it compatible with Genie garage door opener |
Answer: | I don't believe so. I bought it specifically for my Linear garage door opener. |
Question: | Do they run on battery or power line |
Answer: | The power comes from the garage door opener. A pair of wires is run from the garage door opener to the wall station. |
Question: | Does the wall station come with the wires that connect to the opener |
Answer: | Mine didn't. You have to connect the wires from your wall to the opener. It's really simple to do, just connect and screw in and you are good to go. I've had no issues since installing mine. |

Question: | Will this work with LiftMaster Security - 3280M-267 1/2HP and controller: Homeseer Hometroller Zee |
Answer: | That model of Liftmaster is not on the list of models that do NOT work with the GD00Z, so it should yes. Here is a link to the incompatible product list so you can double check, yours is not on it. http://www.linearcorp.com/info/Linear-GD00Z-Product-Compatibility-Notice.pdf.It does work with Homeseer, yes. Just make sure to have the very latest update for your homeseer, they just finished completing the testing with it on 10/5. Also check that you pair both the main unit AND the tilt sensor, as it seems it is undocumented in that regard in the instruction manual and on the HS website. |
Question: | If I have two garage door openers right next to each other, do I need 2 of these devices |
Answer: | Unless you want them both opening and closing simultaneously yes |
Question: | Does this come with the tilt sensor |
Answer: | Yes The tilt sensor is included. |
Question: | Does this work with smartthings |
Answer: | Yes! It worked flawlessly, I just installed it this past weekend (oct 25, 2014) Was worried I was going to need to install some lab version, but it showed up as a garage door opener, it reports open/closed, it can be activated as the app. I haven't set any special rules for it as I am still new to SmartThings, but based on its behaviors so far, it's rock solid. Also the device was pretty easy to install. The unit comes as 2 parts, a tilt sensor, and a box (thats in the photo) that mounts up near the opener itself. The tilt sensor runs on batteries, the unit needs to be plugged in, so that could be a problem if you dont have an available power outlet near the garage door opener. It also does not interrupt or affect the normal open close action of your buttons or remotes. |

GoControl Garage Door Opener Remote Controller (Z-Wave)
The GoControl Garage Door Opener Remote Controller (Z-Wave) pairs with your existing automatic garage door opener to provide remote opening and closing control via your Z-Wave network and controller. When installed, you can open and close your garage door from anywhere. The garage door controller's audible and visual warnings will alert those nearby of the door's impending movement. The included tilt sensor attaches to the door to report its open or closed status to the Z-Wave controller. The Remote Controller also works as a repeater for your Z-Wave network, extending it up to an additional 130 feet (via line of sight).
What’s in the Box:
Remote Control of Your Sectional Garage Door
As a part of your Z-Wave network, the GoControl Garage Door Opener Remote Controller (Z-Wave) provides remote opening and closing of a sectional garage door by pairing with almost any automatic garage door opener. Once installed and paired with the door's existing opener, the Remote Controller provides both audible and visual warnings before opening or closing the door, meeting UL 325-2010 safety requirements.
Tilt Sensor Reports Door Position to Z-Wave Controller
The Remote Controller system's wireless tilt sensor attaches to the inside of the garage door. Once installed, it reports the door's open or closed status to the Z-Wave controller, which is then displayed on most Z-Wave controller apps.
Compatibility
The Garage Door Opener Remote Controller is never to be installed or used in conjunction with garage door openers manufactured prior to 1993 (models without an operational safety beam entrapment detection system).
Works as a Repeater for Your Z-Wave Network
For the Remote Controller device to work with your network, it must be within approximately 130 feet (via line of sight) from your Z-Wave Controller or the closest Z-Wave Repeater. However, this device also works as a repeater, extending your network up to an additional 130 feet via line of sight to reach other elements of your Z-Wave network that would otherwise be out of range of the hub or controller.
Compatible with All Other Z-Wave-Certified Products
Like all Z-Wave-certified products, the GoControl Garage Door Opener Remote Controller (Z-Wave) is compatible with other Z-Wave devices, including those made by other manufacturers. The GoControl family of Z-Wave products also includes switches, dimmers, outlets, thermostats, light bulbs and lighting retrofit kits and plug-in modules as well as security devices, including alert sounders, passive infrared motion detectors, and door/window sensors.
About Z-Wave Technology
Z-Wave smart chips enable two-way RF communication among hundreds of Z-Wave-enabled devices using the Z-Wave international wireless standard. Thanks to the cross-manufacturer compatibility of Z-Wave products, it is simple to set up systems that include security, energy management, home entertainment, and appliances. Z-Wave products operate at the standard 908.42 MHz frequency and support network-wide inclusion. They are security system compatible.
