Answer:	Yes the auto activation can be disable. There's a dipswitch on the back of the unit that you can place the switch #1 to up position for voice activation mode. So if it is in down position it is disabled.

Answer:	I would not expect them to work as an add on to the Chamberlain intercoms. I could give you reasons I think it would not work but not certain of being accurate. What I am certain about is Chamberlains Customer Service is excellent, call them @1-800-528-5880. They will help with any of your questions, but I feel certain it has to do with electronic radio frequency assigned to them by the government.

Answer:	No, singles are presently $43.36 & doubles are $78.64. I can say they are wonderful to have as I live in a 2 story home & it really saves a lot of energy that would otherwise be used in climbing the stairs.

Answer:	The 30 foot refers to how far away the sensor senses movement. The 1/2 mile refers to how far the base unit can be from sensor and still alert you.

Answer:	Volume control is variable, from 0 to moderately loud at full volume. (I wish it were louder. I'm old!) There is NO LIGHT on the Base Unit which would flash to alert you of motion. The alert is AUDIBLE ONLY. (There is a power "ON" light, but no other light on the BASE UNIT.) There is an LED in the SENSOR, which flashes when motion is detected. Remember, the sensor might be up to a half-mile from the base. Obviously, from that distance, you will not see it. You can barely see it when you are standing near the sensor. The item description is poorly written, implying that there is a light (on the base unit) that flashes when motion is detected. There is not. The LED inside the sensor is there to help with setting up the system, not to provide any visible alert.In any event, it is a good product, works well, and I would buy it again if I needed to.
Question:	How do you adjust sensitivity of the motion detector?. I am getting lots of false alarms
Answer:	I bought two base and 16 sensors in 2019. HEAT sets them off. Mine goes crazy when I burn leaves. Mine has two sensitivity adjustments. On the inside of the sensors, there is a tiny red switch. Up or down adjust the sensitivity from low to high. Batteries last me a year except for the one by my front door because of the amount of traffic. But it still lasts 10 months.
Question:	Hi, can I buy two sets and have both sensors equally report to either receiver? I need a receiver in the bedroom and one in the kitchen 60 ft away
Answer:	Just set it up to do this today. The deer tested it out for me after I set it up. Note that for some reason the receivers don't get the signal at the same time.

Answer:	It is really shame that Chamberlain myQ decided to NOT support SmartThings. After their announcement to support it (which was if I remember 2015 or 2016), I actually switched all of the garage openers to be myQ compatible... which ended in major disappointment because they never got out the integration. There was a manual integration that a SmartThings user did, but even this one is now defunct.
Question:	Why does chamberlain charge a fee when the other devices are free
Answer:	This is a shame and Chamberlain should be embarrassed. It's pathetic. I would rather pay $10-20 more to never pay a subscription fee as long as I own the device. Aonthly or annual fee is just sickening and it's the singular reason why I have not purchased this product. Everything I own is Chamberlain. By including a fee, they have completely ALIENATED A LOYAL CUSTOMER. Am I also understanding this correctly that Alexa does not have a subscription fee for integration?

Answer:

Both lights flashing means a signal loss. The receiver cannot hear the transmitter. Try walking around with the receiver until the flashing stops. Even stand in the garage. If the flashing never stops, then return this for another one. If it does stop, then it is working fine and you just need to find a way to get a clean signal. When I first bought this, the receiver was in the bedroom and worked great (which is exactly why I bought it). I mounted it on the wall below a flat screen TV so it would be in an easily visible place. Later I found that when the TV was on, the TV would jam the signal and the red and green lights would flash. Moving the receiver to the dresser resolved that problem.

Answer:	Raynor is an opener brand but the wireless electronic remote opener could be several other brands. I have a Raynor opener with a Linear / Multi-Code opener. It's old - 25 yrs and uses the 10 DIP switches, but it works fine with the visor remotes and my 3 Cadillacs with built in wireless transmitters. Linear is mentioned in the instructions so it should work with a Raynor opener.

There was a manual integration that a SmartThings user did, but even this one is now defunct.

Question:	Does all traffic get routed through the myq servers (ie does myq have control over the door and surveillance of the house
Answer:	Goes through their server; what is worse is that you have no clue when the server goes down or gets hosed. You know nothing other than the app on the phone cannot connect to the server. Yeah, they could open/close your door but honestly, are you that important for anyone else to bother ? Me neither. But what really annoys me is that this thing has no debug mode other than blinking lights and the reset button... and when it is acting weird, you never know what is wrong. I am to the point of throwing in the trash can and buying our 4th remote controller.
Question:	What is the maximum distance between router and the wireless garage door opener? My closest internet connection is about 100 ft from openers. Thanks
Answer:	I am not sure. I will be happy to look at the paperwork that came with the unit and reply later, but suffice to say, my garage door opener and this unit are approximately 80-90 feet away. I would say it would be whatever distance your current remote garage door opener currently works. As I understand this unit, it works like a remote garage door opener (like the one in your car), but it is controlled through the internet so you can open/close the garage literally wherever you have an internet/smartphone connection - and it be within rage of what your remote works. Again, it must be connected to the internet, so if you have an extra port in your router to connect this unit, you are set! This unit is NOT wireless. I did not have enough ports in my router, so I connected it through my satellite box which is connected to the internet.
Question:	Does this device, with the Android app, let you know if the door is open or closed, or does it just let you change the state from one to the other? I.e., if I don't know if the door is open or closed, is this useless
Answer:	I get a notification when garage door gets opened and closed, at the moment it happens. The app, as stated, will tell you current state. I also have my MyQ hooked up to my Wink, which adds the ability to let me know "the garage is still open" after specified time window. I may have missed that my garage door was opened, but I want a notification if the garage is left open for 30 minutes...as a reminder that it is still open. This is always my fear, that I left the garage open. With the notifications only on the change of open/close, I may not know that the garage remains open, since I get busy doing other things and don't check the MyQ app every 15 minutes. I don't believe the MyQ alone will do this.

Answer:	The garage door opener does not use WiFi as some suggest. The gateway connects directly to your router utilizing an RJ-45 cable. It then operates exactly like a garage door opener, using those Radio Frequencies to do so. You create an account on myliftmaster.com to enable the ability to connect to your gateway at home from anywhere. The "WiFi" connectivity they speak of, is actually the ability to utilize your cell phone or WiFi-enabled internet device to access myliftmaster.com and operate your garage door. Otherwise, this device operates like any other opener, and it is NOT using 802.11 signals like others have suggested. Please take a garage door opener to the location of your internet router. If you can still open/close the door, you can use this gateway.
