Answer:	Yes- I got them to lay out a bunch of stone in the yard for drainage issues, and was on my knees most of the time, on roots and stones. Then I spread gravel between rocks, some by hand, kneeling on rocks and gravel. The knee caps do collect mud if the ground is wet, but they're easy enough to clean, and I hosed mine off... no worries. I would definitely buy again.

Answer:	Padding is sufficient but I returned these sliders after my daughter complained of how much material there was in the crotch area for a cup. These are Unisex shorts, not womens. Hope this helps.
