Answer:	It’s smooth but sticky-like rubber. I really like these paddles! So much better than the old hard dimpled ones. I keep them in the included case when not in play and somehow the rubber retains its tackiness. That’s where you get your spin control from. They were much better than expected with phenomenal packaging. Just remember to remove the “second skin” wrapper that’s on each paddle! (Someone else made a complaint and it’s because they never peeled off the dual wrap. Good luck.

Question:	Just purchased this for my soon to be 9 yr old. she hits pretty hard already to the grass i’m wondering if this bat will make them balls go further
Answer:	I can't tell you yes or no for sure. The friend who recommended this to me said he bought 2 gel packs and puts them both in the bag. I don't know where he bought them but you could look on the cite.
