Answer:	What covers the ears are foam.... The only "plastic" is the clear cups on the sides. My boys love theirs! Easy to fit, stays secure and the can still hear their coaches.

Answer:	My son has a normal to large head. I measured it today at 23 3/4". Given the amount of velcro on the straps, 21" would fit. It's just a matter of adjusting all the straps to get the best fit. Answer:	We've had one of our customer reviewers answer this question. Here's his response:I have the Rock 1800 and really enjoy it for a day pack both in the mountains or the city. I think your answer would depend on what you mean by a "regular backpack". Are you talking about a standard backpacking backpack for overnight trips, or a more everyday-use backpack? In my experience the internal frame and waist belt on this pack are significantly more than a standard everyday backpack, but not as robust as a backpack intended for extended trips. I've comfortably done some 2-3 mile hikes with this pack weighted around 25lbs. However, if I were going to hike 3+miles with 30+ lbs consistently I might look for a pack with a more robust waist belt. Since I love all the features on the Rock 1800, I would probably look into Teton's Talus 2700 which would be slightly larger and offer more support for heavy loads over longer distances. Question:	Are these acceptable for use in high school wrestling
Answer:	I don't know the regulations for high school wrestling, but as far as being effective, yes. I use them for dojo use and we do a lot of grappling, ground work, etc and they work great. I've used them about six weeks now and no issues other than periodically someone grabbing them instead of grabbing hair. They do slightly impede your hearing and they tend to be a little warm, but my ears are now safe. I love them because they're not bulky and look great.

Answer:	This is the only head gear I have ever tried so I can't speak to the others, but yes it does get hot. Especially if you are not use to wearing headgear. It is also hard to hear when you are wearing them. However they are comfortable and don't aggravate your training partner.

Answer:	Depends on how much cauliflower ear you have, I have a little and it does the job well protecting. One of my training partners ears are not as pretty and he reckons that its not as comfortable with a great deal of rubbing.
