Answer:	No - these are composite, and have a foam stopper at the top. The Duel U needs to be inserted into the lacrosse shaft. You would need to order a Dragonfly lacrosse shaft that says NO FOAM

Answer:	We added tape for gripping my son loves it and used it all season. It does have decent grip without tape. We tape wrap everything though.
