Answer:	This depends on the size of the acorns and hickory nuts. The approximate maximum spacing between the wires of my Kollectaball 60 is 1/2 inch. So anything smaller in diameter than that would likely fall out or may not be picked up at all.

Answer:	I am not sure if it will pick up black walnuts, unless if your tennis court is rated by them. This will pick up tennis balls with ease and efficiency. Although I think this is extremely highly priced. It does a great job of picking up the balls.
