Answer:	About 30 to 40 mph from a distance of 25 to 30 feet. The balls that come with it, or are recommended for it, are junk, however it works great if you buy JUGGS plastic balls. I've had one in my basement for several years hitting JUGGS balls with wood bats and love it. The balls break occasionally after a long period of time but can really take a beating. I set-up the machine on stacked crates so that the machine is at shoulder height thus replicating a very inexpensive indoor pitching machine. If you buy good balls they will be delivered consistently in the strike zone. The best money I've spent for practicing baseball in the winter.

Answer:	Yes, the balls are light, and a strong wind will pull on them. Also if its raining, the muddy balls get stuck in the machine, and it slows the speed over time.

Answer:	Yes. Just make sure they are real leather balls and not synthenic leather. The coating on the synthentic leather balls comes off and gums up the wheels on the pitching machine. You can clean it off with acetone but it's a pain. Just make sure to use real leather balls and you will be fine.
