Answer:	Catching is not the issue. You can learn to catch with either hand. You want to the glove to go on the non-throwing hand. So instead of having them catch a ball, have them throw a ball to you. What ever hand they throw with, the glove will go on the other hand. That being said, you child will probably need the right hand throw glove which goes on the left hand.

Answer:	It could be, but honestly it will get hot and will reduce mobility. Also, the material will pick up a ton of debris from the ground (leaves, sticks, you name it). I was shocked how much debris it soaks up. I could see using it for overwatch or recon, but I would not want to wear it if I had to move around a lot.

Question:	So if i buy the left hand throw option it will be a right hand glove
Answer:	It is tapered a little towards the wrist. It needs to be though in order to fit a smaller hand. This is a great glove for a serious little ball player. My son is 7.5 and it will be perfect for him.
