Answer:	Some of the answers to this question are flat wrong. This cannot be used in USA Boxing sanctioned events. It doesn't meet official competition specifications and does not have the USA Boxing or AIBA label anywhere on the headgear. This is a "Competition-like" headgear (as the description states) not a competition headgear. You need a real competition headgear with the "USA Boxing" or "AIBA" label to compete in amateur boxing (e.g. USA Boxing, Golden Gloves, Silver Gloves, PAL, etc). Below is an excerpt from the USA Boxing Official Rule Book: "RULE 22. HEADGUARDS 22.1 The construction of the headgear must be in accordance with the specifications approved by USA Boxing and shall have the USA Boxing or AIBA label in each headgear."

Answer:	I prefer this over the other type of head gear with 1 horizontal hole... but I get hit really little, and never have been hit right down the pipe. Answer:	An 18.5 inch head is pretty small; make sure to measure about an inch above the eyebrows. The average 6 year old has a 21.5 inch head. My 7 yr old daughter and my 10 year old daughter have @ 21 inch heads. My 13 year old and I both have @ 22 inch heads. These Boxing Helmets have a nice adjustable velcro strap system on the back to accommodate a wide range of sizes. I bought smalls for my 7 & 10 yr olds. I bought my 13 yr old a medium which I can use too. They are pretty nice helmets.

Answer:	I’m not sure, but I’ve purchased a small for my 8 year old daughter and it works beautifully.

Answer:	Although this was a gift for one of my students, he said the size was spot on. However it did tend to slide up on him during sparring? My student is a pressure fighter and his defense would break down on the inside from time to time. Let’s say he ate his share of uppercuts. And I’ve seen he go through this with other headgear as well. He said it was a secure and snug fit, but once it got sweaty it become a problem for the vision.

Answer:	Not Sure to be honest. It was for my student. We got a large and it was a snug secure fit. He’s 5’6” 155- walk around 165-70.

Answer:	A 12oz glove is a good choice for a buyer looking for an all around training glove. They are slightly lighter than the large 14-16oz’s and as such don’t tire your arms as much when you’re hitting pads. However, they still have enough padding and generally can be used to spar, especially if you’re a lighter person as the padding should be adequate.
