It is a bit hard to tell without your hand measurements, but in general, this product is designed to fit snug out of the bag and break in over time. Another aspect to consider is if you will be wearing hand wraps. If you have larger hands and are wearing hand wraps they will likely be very tight initially. If you plan on wearing wraps you may need to work them in a bit without wraps initially and then transition to using wraps. Answer:	Thanks for the message and interest in our gloves! Odor is a very common problem for boxing gloves, especially if left untreated and used frequently. Our Stormbringer gloves feature a breathable mesh panel to encourage air flow and assist with odor control. Additionally, proper care following their use can go a long way to prevent odor. Answer:	I do not know about the Venom Elite's size, but these fit small even without the wraps and they are short at the wrist, I however still like them a lot, the build quality and material are excellent!

Answer:	my 6yo grandson takes kick boxing with UFC gym. I bought their brand because it has a life time warranty. I wanted a less expensive backup pair for when he spends the night and his gloves are at his house. They told me not to get the 4 oz for him. their exact words was " don't follow the children's guidelines. they recommended 8-10oz. the coaches and owner said the 8 and 10 will protect his hands better. there is very little to no protection with the 4oz gloves. I was also told the 8-10oz would also last longer than the 4oz. one coach said the higher the better. so I mentioned they have a 12,14 and 16oz.... all 3 coaches and the owner said NOOOOOOO at the same time. those are way to big!! he meant compared with the 4oz. I saw another brand, Sanabul and looked into the colors and sizes. they had a section on buying for children. it said 8-10oz is recommended. Right now I am going back and forth trying to decide which one of the two I should buy. I already have the Sanabul MMA punching mitt and I like both the Elite and the Sanabul gloves so which do I buy????? I do know which ever it is, it will be 10oz. I hope this helps and I apologize for the excess verbiage. But I thought the info was important. Your situation is a 4yo; perhaps 6 or 8oz would suffice.

Answer:	It depends on how much room you have in there, I guess. The 10 oz is a bit loose on me by the 12 oz is too big. I can slide my hand out of it without opening the straps. My hand from wrists to tip of middle finger is about 7 inches and tip of thumb to pinky is about 7.5.
