Answer:	You unscrew the cap. Take a small Phillips and take the small screw out. Replace with batteries. Duracell 389/390 is an easier one to find then the original Chinese batteries that come with it. Just make sure you replace the correct colors in the balls. They are colored to match.

Answer:	Typically the size and the weight - the intermediate set has 100mm balls which are a bit heavier (total weight for the shipping on that set is 7.9lbs). They will show scuffs if an errant ball strikes a hard surface like concrete, but they seem impervious to damage when they strike each other during play.

How to Play Bocce Game?

Bocce is played competitively around the world, but it’s also easy for anyone to pick up and play for fun. Before you begin to play, it’s important to understand the basics of the equipment, court and teams.

Game Play:

1. The first player to roll will toss the pallino to set the target for the frame. The pallino must fall behind the center line.

2. After throwing the pallino, the same player will bowl a bocce ball. Try to cup the ball from the bottom and toss it underhand. The goal of the toss is to get the bocce as close to the pallino as possible.

3. Next, a player from the opposing team will throw one of their bocce balls with the intent of getting closer to the pallino than their opponent. If they succeed, the ball will be considered “inside.” If they do not, they will continue throwing all of their balls, rotating turns among their players, until one is inside.

4. The team that does not have the ball closest to the pallino will always be the one to throw. Frames will end once all balls have been thrown.

Bocce Scoring:

• Each ball that is inside is typically worth one point. If a team has multiple balls closer to the pallino than the opponent’s closest ball, they will receive a point for each one.
• Some versions of the rules allow bocce balls that are directly touching the pallino — referred to as a “kiss” — to count for two points.
• The game will continue until one team scores the predetermined number of points, which is typically 12, but can be any number that meets personal needs or time constraints.

Answer:	I bought it for my just turned two year old granddaughter but didn't even notice the sticker. In the event that it can't be removed, I am sure her picture can be taped over the sticker or super glued on it.

The object of Bocce is to get as many of your bocce (bigger, weighted balls) as close to the pallino (smaller target ball) as possible. If you are successful in getting your bocce closer to the pallino than your opponent, you are awarded points.

Bocce Ball Playing Surfaces:

Bocce Ball can be played on a variety of flat surfaces such as: Bocce Ball Courts, Beach Sand and Yards or Parks. A large area is needed in order to make the game more challenging. An actual Bocce Ball court measures 76 feet long and 12 feet wide. The game however is just as much fun without the court.

Let’s START the Game

Bocce is the third most popular game in the world behind golf and soccer. The winner of the coin toss throws the pallino. Toss is valid if the pallino passes the center line and does not touch the back wall on opposite end.If the player fails to place the pallino in valid area, the opposing team will put the pallino in play. If both players fail, the pallino returns to the original team for an additional attempt. Alternating process continues until pallino is in valid position. The Team that originally tossed the pallino will play the first ball awarded.

Question:	Must this game be played on a level ground? I live on a slope
Answer:	It doesn't need to be played on a level ground is the short answer, however the long answer is more involved....it depends on a few things, most of all the incline angle and the playing surface. If you are playing on thick grass (not recently cut) for example, that will help hold the balls but if the angle of the slope is too extreme then they will still roll. The good news is that the problem with rolling balls will be the same for everyone ;). Have fun.
