Answer:	I have used this for training. The biggest issue is what you reported. In combat where you are sweating a lot, it is extremely slippery holding the pen design. The fact that the "T" is missing renders it useless. I even ran a chain wrapped around the wrist to have better control and grip but that of course isn't optimal. The image is deceptive and I wouldn't buy it again.

Answer:	It unscrews into 2 pieces. One piece then screws into the end of the other to extend the handle. I love this thing, but it's very sharp-pointed and my sister said it looks scary. It works great for me, though.
