Answer:	I think this depends on your preference for fit. I prefer a bit of looseness in my outer clothing. I normally wear a Large for shirts and sweaters, but with these I returned them for XL so I can wear them over other layers. I'm 5'9" and 177. If I were you I'd be doing the XXL.

Answer:	I wondered the same thing. Mine also has openings on the side of the interior pockets. I have used it to hold a phone charger and put the cable through the hole to attach to phone in holder. Other than that I could see no use for the holes

Answer:	It’s very soft and comfy. In really cold weather such as the single digit temperatures we are currently enduring, I use it as an added inner layer under a light weight winter jacket.

Answer:	Don't put fleece in dryer to prevent it from balling and piling. The hot dryer and also hot water ruins fleece. Hang dry fleece and then if it still needs to be softened put it in dryer for 5 minutes max. Use only half a dryer sheet because they leave a coating so using only half the sheet will make it less likely to coat fleece with the dryer sheet residue.

HCD (Horizontal Component Distance) Mode

The Impact 1000’s HCD range display is intended to be the primary mode—used for most rifle and archery shooting conditions. The yardage number displayed is the critical horizontal component distance.

Use the HCD range mode in the following situations:

• Rifle shooting on level ground at any range.

• Rifle shooting out to ranges of 800 yards with mild slopes (less than 15 degrees).

• Rifle shooting out to ranges of 400 yards with moderate slopes (15 to 30 degrees).

• For all archery shooting.

The displayed HCD yardage number is corrected for shot angle and needs no extra user input; shooters simply use the appropriate level ground bullet drop and wind adjustment for the range displayed and shoot. Archers use the appropriate level ground sight pin for the range displayed and shoot.

LOS (Line of Sight) Mode

The Impact 1000’s LOS (Line of Sight) mode is intended for rifle shooters who are using slope correcting ballistic drop data cards, ballistic cell phone applications, or other ballistic programs and who are shooting at distances beyond 500 yards and with slopes greater than 15 degrees. Most shooters and archers will not need the LOS mode.

The range number displayed in LOS mode is the actual line of sight range with no ballistic correction for slope. Most of the commonly used ballistic devices can provide independent slope correction for bullet drop data and require actual line of sight range input. Using the LOS range when calculating bullet wind drifts under these steep slope/long range conditions will provide a higher degree of accuracy than using the HCD range.

To use, simply input the LOS range number into the electronic device or use the LOS range when referencing ballistic drop cards with slope correction.

Scan Feature

The Scan feature can be used to range moving targets or help range smaller targets on uniform backgrounds in either HCD or LOS modes. Once powered up, press and hold the Measure button and scan the laser back and forth, watching for changes in the yardage number as the crosshairs move across the target object. A blinking 'S' display indicates Scan Ranging is activated.

Answer:	It can handle the elements. I wouldn’t go swimming with it, but rain shouldn’t kill it. It has a case that comes with it. I keep rangefinder in the pocket of my hunting jacket, which also keeps it protected.

Answer:	I had the same question. I thought I had seen slightly different numbers for non-reflective targets but now I can't find that article. The Bushnell site was no help because they make it appear as if the Engage doesn't exist yet. It's not rare that the mfg site detail lags behind other sellers. Frustrating.

Answer:	The way I have mine set is to give actual distance and also shooting (horizontal) distance. So basically it has the slope and angle calculations and uses this to calculate what I really want, which is shooting distance. I think you can also set it to show the degrees of angle if that's what you'd rather see.

Answer:	No. It does not display in feet. Just yards or meters

Answer:	It should work fine just like a dedicated golf rangefinder. Magnification is comparable to a golf rangefinder. Difficulty ranging the pin depends on distance and and size of object. Smaller targets are harder to accurately range. You could always range something larger nearby your target.
Question:	How do you change from meters to yards
Answer:	Once you hit the power button all the indicators are in black. I have yet to have any issues seeing data in low light conditions.

What is slope function?

Slope function can provide a distance which is automatically calibrated. It allows you to accurately shoot a golf ball that has been calibrated for horizontal targets at uphill or downhill targets. You can also use the angle information to adjust for bow/rifle hunting.

Simple to Use

• Charge the battery until there is a green light.
• Press power button to awake rangefinder.

Warning:

• Rain and fog will affect the laser ray-path and shorten the maximum measure distance.
• Do not stare into the laser beam

Answer:	It uses 1 CR2 3volt battery
Question:	What is the minimum distance it will measure accurately? Will it work at 5-10 yards
Answer:	I would say 5.5 yards - xx. Mine is stable at 5.5 with fairly quick response with the distance read. It’s fairly accurate for the price. Used mine to range my targets for both crossbow and rifle. Good unit.
Question:	Is there an optical zoom? How do you focus on the object you are tagging
Answer:	No optical zoom. It does not have a seperate focus for distance. It has a diopter focus only which can be tweeked slightly for sharpening up the distance focus (at the expence of loss in reticule focus). It is not the best, but for long distances it appears to be adequate. Nice quality system for the money.
Question:	Is this good for bow hunting
Answer:	It is all and light weight and ranges out to 540 yards, so should be more than adequate. I have had a Tectectec of different model for golf and love it.
