Answer:	My S.O. snores rather loud and I simply use ear plugs (there are actually several varieties out there that reduce 34db as well) so I can comfortably move around as needed. I wouldn't get these for sleeping.
Question:	Is there any protection if the batteries die on you in the field/range? I.E. What happens to noises above the 82dB range with no batteries
Answer:	They were very comfortable wearing them for 8-10 hrs a day for about 6 months. Around that time I noticed they started to become very uncomfortable. Turns out the bottom half of the cushions go from very soft when new to very hard due to skin oils. I found a 3M manufacturer with this explanation. Can't imagine why this sort of defect hasn't been resolved for ear muffs in general, but since I have to wear them to continue working from home with toddlers I'll just be ordering another pair and try to keep them a little cleaner I guess. Maybe that will extend their life before I have to replace them.

Answer:	Having bought a number of LED headlamps, brightness is important. First, 360 over 315 or even 260 isn't a big draw. Second, the important factors are reliability and battery life. Some manufacturers do better than others, top ones Petzl and Black Diamond ... similar to LED household bulb efficiencies (lumens/watt). But let's say they are all equal in efficiency. This means a 360 lumen lamp will use much more than a 260, so if the 260 is 'plenty good', fewer batteries to buy. Think of this as a battery eater ... like razor blades, film (dating myself), printer cartridges. It may not be the razor or camera that is the dollar drain, it's the batteries. Even if you buy a 360, it should have a lower setting that is usable because your batteries will be eaten slower.

Answer:	Nick. Have not tried that but shooting high caliber guns indoors they kill almost all sound. I would guess you won’t be disappointed in sound reduction.

This provides instant hearing protection that doesn't leave you in silence afterward. The attack time is the interval between when the sound goes above safe 82 dB hearing levels, like when a shot is fired, and when the earmuff reacts to lower the sound to a safe level. This is essential for range shooting, where constant gunshot noise can fatigue your ears. The .5 MS attack time also keeps you connected to your shooting environment by eliminating sound-clipping (the inadvertent blocking of ambient sound after a gunshot). This is crucial for hearing range commands or simply conversing with fellow shooters. Recessed microphones in each earcup serve to reduce wind noise, while boosting range commands or quiet animal sounds up to 5X. The microphones are also directional so you know where the sound is coming from (a real benefit for tracking prey). From a design standpoint, the low profile earcup features an indented cutout that allows your cheek to press flush to the gunstock without breaking the seal of the ear cushion. The leatherette headband is padded for comfort, and adjustable for a secure fit. Question:	Will these fit under and Army Combat Helmet
Answer:	By it self, absolutely not! Combine it with in ear foamies with it and you should be fine. These ear muffs provide you with only early 20s dB of ear protection by it self. You will need ear protection of 29db or greater for indoor ranges due to the sound being amplified due to the walls.
