| Answer: | I just recently purchased this gun and after seeing these answers about how bad this scope is, I wanted to put in my 2 cents. First, when I first attached the scope, I noticed that the scope was not in line with the barrel. When I loosened the screws on the left side of the scope where it loosens the rings around the scope, the scope aligned well with the barrel. Then when I shot a pellet at 50 ft, I noticed it was VERY OFF (six inches down and an inch to the right). A friend recommended zero'ing the scope so I zeroed as much as I could and now, i can get an inch grouping. I'm sure there are a lot better scopes out there but this works a lot better than I expected. |

| Answer: | The Ruger is quiet with heavier pellets. I use 9.6 gr and heavier. The Crosman Destroyer (7.8 gr?) sound like a .22 LR. I was surprised the neighbors don't call the cops lol. |

| Answer: | I do mostly target shooting with mine so I couldn't say for sure. I'm shooting at 25 yards and it is accurate and hits the target hard. (By hard I mean the pellets are usually buried in the wood behind the paper target.) I did shoot a rat recently at about 50 yards and he just showed me his middle finger and scampered off. I suppose it could have died later but it didn't seem to be hurt very bad. If you are on a farm I would think a .22 or 12 gauge would be a better choice for killing a rabid animal that large. Sorry I don't have a better answer but I hope this helps some. |

| Answer: | DO NOT USE THIS AIR RIFLE TO SHOOT DOGS. This rifle should be considered no different than a “real” rifle. I’ve clocked zinc pellets out of this thing at 1150 FPS. It would be incredibly cruel and inhumane to shoot any animal with this, unless you intend to eat it. It takes down large rabbits all day, do not shoot at dogs with this rifle!!!! I suggest pepper spray or a paintball gun with pepper balls. If you intend to kill an animal as large as a dog, get something that will take them out humanely, not something that will torture them and cause unnecessary suffering like a powerful air rifle |
