Changing Cricut Blades

1. Remove the blade housing from your Cricut Explore or Cricut Maker: Open Clamp B and remove the blade housing.

2. For Fine-Point, Premium Fine-Point, Deep Point, and Deep-Cut Blades: Gently push the pin on the top of the housing and carefully pull out the blade from the bottom.

3. Remove the protective cover from the new blade.

4. Insert the new blade into the housing. The magnet in the housing will hold the new blade in place.

5. Replace the blade housing into your Cricut Explore or Cricut Maker then return the blade housing to Clamp B and close it.

Cricut Rotary Blade

Answer:	If you can afford a carving jack why would you even consider buying this ??? don't get me wrong it's a good little knife for the money but it's bulky and not ergonomic at all your hand will hurt after a wile and the blades don't lock like the carving jack . Fortunately I do still have one old 'Uncle Henry" old enough to be of good quality. I recall sharpening a knife (Uncle Henry) for our Sgt and when he cut himself with it the doctor (took 12 stitches inside & out to sew him up) said it looked like he had been cut with a scalpel. Answer:	I disagree with some of the posters on here. Personally I think carbon steel holds the edge 10x's better than stainless steel. The only thing stainless steel offers is it's easy to clean and does not rust. My grandfather was born in the 1800s and was a machinist and produced handmade full tang carbon steel knife blades with wooden handles and rivets. We carried those knives in our family for 90 years passed down from generation to generation and they always kept the edge just by sharpening them on a steel. Carbon steel rust but it's easy to clean all you have to do is use some steel wool and it comes off in two seconds.

Answer:	I know this question is pretty old but it’s because this is carbon steel and carbon steel quickly develops a patina when used on different materials especially wet ones.

However, if u take a flattened cereal box n put it between whatever ur cutting n ur ceramic/ glass stove top; this will work! That is, as long as ur not forcing all ur weight down on the blade, as ur cutting.

A quick Google of “Buck 119 tang” should bring up cutaway images to give you a visual of the reduced tang.

Question:	Is the blade held firmly in place or does it move around while cutting thick carboard or other heavy items
Answer:	This is actually a great feature of the knife. When clipped in my right pants pocket, I tuck it all the way to the right on my hip. This prevents the blade from opening at all since there is no space to do so and allows for a quick draw and opening of the knife, without having to reverse the knife. When grabbing out of a pocket, your thumb is basically on the opening assist which allows for a quick opening. I can't think of a way to cut yourself or open inadvertently when carried like I do. The curve of the bottom of the handle is ideal for getting your hand in and out of the carrying pocket; there are no sharp ends and it basically guides your hand down into the pocket. The blade is on the other side of the handle so you are protected by the back of the handle; the blade opens the other way. The blade opening is pressed against the side of the pocket and your hand does not touch that side of the closed knife. There is a light spring that keeps the knife closed, but the tip could open slightly and catch a hand if you don't clip it to the top of a pocket (i.e. carry in bottom of pocket). I prefer a light spring in this scenario because it makes it easier to open. I love how light weight this knife is and it is also paper slicing sharp on arrival. Order extra blades and never worry about a dull blade. It comes with extras, but who wants to ever run out?

Answer:	The Gerber EAB Lite Pocket Knife 22-41830 is my EDC knife and I have it with Irwins because I get them for free from work. It works flawlessly and the way the knife is designed, the set screw not only goes through the slot on the blade but it also pinches it in place. Sorry but I'm going to have to say you have an operator error. That aside, the Lenox are a much higher quality blade that last much longer. I work construction and my blades take a ton of abuse. Lenox have always been my favorite
