Answer:	Depends on what your carving. The 106 which is the 3'' is perfect for spoons. The extra length is needed to do cuts across the back of the bowl of the spoon. If your unsure of what holds to use when using the knife, I recommend Swedish Carving Techniques, and Spon (by barn the spoon) The smaller 120 my daughter uses but shes 9.

The Blade

The blade of the Ganzo Firebird F7533 is a 440C flat ground drop point, that tapers to a very acute tip. The delicate tip is further emphasized by a long swedge covering three-quarters of the spine.

Safe Operation

Out of the box the deployment was slightly stiff but it did break in nicely with use. Also, in EDC use a knife with zero friction can be a liability while working a little friction slows things down for safe operation.

Handle and Ergonomics

The ergonomics of the Ganzo G753 are good. There are no hot spots to speak of, no sharp edges and the sides are chamfered at several angles making for very round edges.

Deployment and Lockup

The lock up is reasonably solid having only a hint of side to side play. Ganzo tuned knife well in that it is loose enough to swing open but not so loose as to have extra side to side play.

Answer:	Comfortable is a personal thing. It really depends on you and way you see it a: $5 knife build out of a solid plank of stainless steel with not much form for hand or fingers wrap with Paracord. Giving you my personal experience is enough to cut, pull it quick out of your pocket used as a screwdriver around shop, scrape small things. It have no additional ergonomic and is not a big handdle.

Steps To Use

1. Gather some kindling (such as grass, pine needles, small twigs) and some tinder (such as small branches, pine cones, bark).

This grit is a very good overall grit. It is fine enough for many jobs and still have enough abrasive properties to do sharpen knives and tools that are not very dull. If you keep your knives and tools in good shape, you'll find yourself reaching for this grit level often. This grit is also very common for the final stage for many kitchen knives.



4000 Grit Side:



This fine grit is able to put an edge on a tool or knife that exceeds just about any commercial edge you'll find. This grit is very fine and sharpen very slowly. This is to be used after you've created an edge with more coarse grits.



Instructions to use:



1. Soak the sharpening stone with water for 5 minutes, then put it on a steady surface such as a table or a desk.



2. First use the #1000 grit side for coarse grinding in 10~30 degree angle, push the knife out with a little force, and then gently retracted. This process takes about 15 minutes.



3. Then use the #4000 grit side for fine grinding. This process takes about 10 minutes.



4. After sharpening the knife, clean the knife with wet cloth or water, then dry it.



5. Use a soft brush to clean the sharpening stone, then placed in a ventilated place out to dry.

Question:	What is the best way to flatten the stone after it has been used and becomes uneven
Answer:	240 is really coarse for repairing nicks and reshaping. 800 is on the low side of medium grit, and will give you a sharp edge. For a kitchen knife, I would then follow that with 1000 and/or 2000 for a sharper edge, and optionally 6000 for a polished edge - that's what I would consider razor sharp.
Question:	How is this for maintaining plane blades and carving tools
Answer:	if you're gonna be serious about sharpening your knives, get all the grits. My set is 250, 800, 1000, 3000, 4000, 8000 and covers pretty much everything. That and get yourself a leather strop and compound. Now you're all set.Casual home cook? 800-2000 spread over 3 stone would be good enough to. Just remember to hone your knives!

Answer:	Yes. When you set up the watch there are settings for weight, length of pool and what arm you are wearing the watch. You can also set for metric/unified. Be sure you know the correct length of pool and if it measured in yards or meters. You can also set your watch to vibrate after so many laps. I set mine for 20 laps. I swim in a 25 yard lap pool. So 20 laps is equal to 500 yards. Usually swim 2,000-2,400 yards. Gives me an idea where I am in my swim and each 500 yards I may incorporate something in the next 500 yards like practicing my glide stroke. When you first get the watch, the battery may not last long. Been sitting in a warehouse for who knows how long.
Question:	Is this knife made by Schrade
Answer:	It is designed to count laps swum in the pool by recognizing the swimming action of your strokes and then counting the pause that happens when you turn at the end of a lap. I think the exercises you are describing would not be recognized by the watch. However, it is water proof and does have a chronograph/stop watch feature, so you could use that to time your activities in the water.
Question:	Is there need to worry about no locking blades
Answer:	If you are looking for a watch that is just for swimming this is good. Yes you can time different strokes and distances but you must go to settings on the watch and switch strokes every time you are switching. For example if you do 5 sets of 100m breast stroke then want to do 5 sets of freestyle you must change to freestyle on watch settings before you start. I recommend getting cable to attach to your computer so you can keep track of all your workouts. I didn't buy the package but wish I had. I had to go and buy it a week later and it cost more.

Question:	does it come in a mossy oak box
Answer:	Purchase a stone flattener from Amazon, they carry several pretty good ones. I bought the Norton brand and it works good.
Question:	Is it made in the USA
Answer:	I recently bought this and used a honing guide for sharpening plane blades and chisels. I haven't been using it long, but it seems to produce a good edge. The stone needs flattening first.

Question:	How hard would it be to sharpen a 7 inch blade on this? I was going to buy the sypderco sharpmaker, but after seeing this I'm not so sure
Answer:	Made in China.
Question:	Are there other plates available for this tool other than those that are supplied. i have the wsgss that has an accessories kit that has other plates
Answer:	it really doesn't matter because the tool does not sharpen anything.
Question:	What are the different grit numbers for each sharpening and honing service
Answer:	I don’t know but I wouldn’t purchase this, it made my scissors worse
Question:	just got the guided field sharpner no how do you use it
Answer:	Unfortunately no. High end knife edge metal and metal plated scissors need professional maintenence. Gingher does sell a sharpening stone that can be used with their scissors
