Answer:	It is a standard screw size but I don't have it handy without taking one out but I honestly don't think you will get enough torque with thumb screws as I had to retighten mine once with the allen head. i will say these are very heavy duty and excellent quality and I was peasently surprised. I put a tennis ball on a stick in them when I cover the boat so they don't stress the cover where I have them.

I tried it on trout fishing at a local lake and the trout bite too lightly, even at most sensitive setting, it didn’t go off.

Yes, these can be mounted to any style of boat as long as the mounting surface is adequate and there is enough room underneath for the tubes. Keep in mind that this style is "flushed mounted" meaning is secures flush with the mounting surface but does not install straight up an down (if that makes sense). They sit at a 30 degree angle which needs to be taken into consideration when selecting the placement as well as the angle of cut. You may have to enlarge your original hole, so make sure you make a good template before making your initial cut. Recommend getting marine grade nuts/bolts for final installation.
