Answer:	It handled a 55 lb Blue fin Tuna (on the heavy rod) out of San Diego and numerous yellow fin up to 40 lbs as well as pacific yellow tail up to 30 lbs. I would think it would deal with east coast "rock fish" just fine.

Answer:	The handle is too short to be comfortable for continuous casting (which is what I do when fishing for bass). It's great for a one time bait casting (for catfish etc) and is really tough.

Answer:	i just caught a 5ft bull shark on the 6ft medium rod with a penn battle 4000 on it and i usually use the rod for my micro rig but blew my mind this thing was bent in a u and I was waiting for it to snap but held strong the whole fight. reel seat felt stressed but it held.
Question:	How many lbs can ugly stik gx2 casting rod catch
Answer:	The rod is not the thing to gauge the size of the fish you can catch unless you are fishing for marlin or some other giant game fish. It's the strength/weight of the line. And even then skillful anglers can catch fish much bigger than the number arbitrarily on the box of line they buy. So if you are fishing in a pond or river for blue gills or brookies or bass then choose a line suited for the size of fish that exist in that water. The world record bass is just over 17 pounds. So maybe the fish you can catch from your favorite pond will be less than that and a line suited to 10 pound bass or 2 pound brookies might work better. I always fish with light line so I can feel when the fish bites. Anyway that's my opinion. Hope it helps.

Answer:	I dont have salmon where I live but I use mines for a river rod and it handles our hybrid strippers, and saugeye well if that helps. Mines is fitted with a Kastking Megatron 3000 and Kastking 15 lb low-vis grey line and it performs well.

Answer:	In braid there would be no problem. In monofilament I think the line will be too inflexible and heavy, but I haven't tried such a weighty line.

Answer:	They fit all casting rods (up to 7 foot) and most spinning rods. Does not take up any more space then the rods themselves, unlike the older plastic tube type. No more tangled rods!

Answer:	I don't actually know. I do know however that they were flexible enough to go over all my rods easily. A couple of of my Roddy were spinning rods with the large line guides and they went over them easy.

Answer:	Yes. it can protect the whole rod and protect from exposure and scratching. The product is pretty overall good. It serves the purpose in which I purchased the sleeve for. I would recommend this product.

Answer:	Athough I have never fished for channel catfish I have fished for large saltwater fish for years. The heaviest Cherrywood casting rod is 10-20lb class. You want a heavier rod for catfish. Try catfish specific rod? I have a 7ft Ugly Stik catfish rod, I use it for saltwater. I use my Cherrywood for bass and inshore saltwater.

Answer:	11.5 inches
Question:	what is the length of the handle, measuring from the butt to the trigger
Answer:	It says it has a stainless steel hook keep, it should be there somewhere. I sent mine back so I can't even check for you sorry good luck
Question:	I can't find the hook keep. Does it have one
Answer:	Exactly the same as with a spinning reel. Just untwist the locking hood, place the reel on, and screw it back on until it's snug.
Question:	How do I attach the reel? I'm new at baitcasting
Answer:	It will get hooked on the inside unless you hook your hook down by the reel. Depending on how long your rod is determines whether you can use the hook loop on the roof if it has one. Most of my rods are 6.5 and 7.5 so I don't have a hook problem.

Answer:	I have the matching Plusinno PL3000 on mine. I’m thinking if you’re not using anything heavier than 10lb test then you’re fine. A slightly smaller reel with smaller line diameter might get you a little more distance. A lot of this is trial and error.
Question:	Is the mh power - mhc rod suitable for as kast king rover with 30lb mono? i fish for stripers, fluke and sea bass in the ocean and inlets of li ny
Answer:	I'm using MH as a 2pc rod when hiking river and wading for pike where I don't want to use one of my expensive rods. Compared to TFO and St Croix rods it would fall between an M and MH. I believe I got it for 23 dollars black Friday sale when I can get it on sale for say 30 bucks I will buy a 2nd. Its only been on a few outings and as long as the blank doesn't break I buy another. Just seems like a decent build and guides and I like the reel seat and grip.
