Answer:	Don’t waste your money. It comes with hardware - you need a long shank screwdriver or bit To install. But like I said don’t bother - cheap pressboard that ended up cracking on me when installing my rod. Kinda my fault, I went to press it in with my thumb and the entire holder literally bent sideways and cracked up. Honestly I did not put that much pressure on it because I wasn’t going to risk damaging my rod - it was just a tighter fit than I expected and thought I could just pop it in.

Answer:	It should work, my only concern is the bottom that the butt rest in. As long as it sits in well enough the top that hold the long end of the pole won't be an issue. It holds nice and tight and firm. So, if you're asking me, I think it should work fine. If not, hey they're easy enough to return. But, I'll think you'll be fine. Even if you have to make some minor tweaks and adjustments to hold the butt end good, you'll be good to go.... kw

Answer:	This is not designed for salt water applications. However if you have room the distance between the top and bottom section can be extended allowing fatter rods to fit.
