Answer:	It's really easy to attach the reel. There is a reel seat in the handle with a threaded collar that screws down to hold the reel securely in place. Once you have it in hand, you'll instantly see how it's done.

Answer:	Yes it is a good mobile fishing rod for lakes, creeks, or any place you see might have a bass or catfish in it. I would not use it in salt water for larger fish though. I have had no problems with it in the lakes I have fished and caught several bass, crappie, and catfish on it.

Even if you have the version with the mic, most laptops have a HEADPHONE jack (stereo audio out only) and a MIC jack (audio in only).
