Answer:	This is designed for backing for fly line. This is much larger diameter per pound test than the same pound test braided line for spinning reels.

Question:	Has anyone been successful in getting the Seller to provide the line that is supposed to come preloaded on the reel? Box said it was preloaded
Answer:	I ordered the pre spooled 3/4 version a couple of years back. It was disk drag and the quality wasn't that great. Do yourself a favor and spend 20 more dollars and pick up an okuma slv 2/3. It has a disk drag and is a stellar bargain.
Question:	What is the "blc" model? it appears to have a click drag. if so, will the 2/3 be stocked in the disk drag model
Answer:	3 inches in diameter on a 3/4 it on a 4 wt . It will hold over a quarter inch of backing plus a full 4 wt fly line.

Answer:	reeling in the line, there is no sound. also you can "palm" the reel for more rapid retrieval of line "like you see the pro's do" on the fishing shows. there is the usual clicking with pulling line off the reel. Had a fly fishing pro try the reel and he was impressed. Hope this helps. M

Answer:

No. When I ordered it, the description said it would come preloaded and it was also checked on the box. Company hasn't responded to email requests. It compared in price to another seller who was offering the preloaded reel for the same price or just the reel for $17. I bought from this seller because they were able to get it to me before Christmas. I noticed they changed the Amazon description after Christmas, probably because of all the confusion.

Answer:	Generally, only the fly line is buoyant. The tippet is monofilament and will stay up if it’s tied to a buoyant fly like a dry fly or a popper. The answer is this will sink unless it’s tied to popper or dry fly.

Question:	where are the tables to match the line to rod weights
Answer:	A number of the newer rods have the grain weight for skagit and scandi heads displayed on the rod where the rest of the rod information is located. That information may also be in the user information literature that comes with the rod. This information is also available on-line from the most of the rod companies. They ususally have charts based on rod weight/length and action type to help determine the correct grain weight for the skagit and scandi heads.
Question:	Would the 500gr 24ft work on an 8wt rod
Answer:	You likely would be able to use this Skagit head successfully on a five weight switch/spey rod. There are data tables that indicate what weight (grain weight) Skagit head you should use with a particular weight of rod. Sometimes the manufacturer of the rod will make a recommendation for which weight of Skagit head to use for best performance. I have several of these MaxCatch Skagit shooting head lines and they work quite well. I use a 300 grain weight head with a four weight 11 to 11 1/2 foot length rod.
Question:	Can I use this on a 5wt rod
Answer:	I got the 300 grain and it matches well with my 10’ 7 wt rod. But, it would be too heavy for a 6 weight. Probably get a 230 to 250 grain from OPST or contact them for recommendations.
Question:	What line size might go on a 11ft 3wt trout spey or a 9ft 6 wt single hand rod
Answer:	There is a picture of that chart in the listing, basically 0x is the toughest about 11lbs.and 7x is like 2lbs.. Hope that helps
