| Answer: | If you're using a 30 lb fluoro leader, it sounds like you are hunting big fish (or fishing very heavy cover), and you should probably get a much heavier strength braid than 30 lbs. The diameter of the 30 lb fluoro is much bigger than the 30 lb braid (equivalent to 8 lb test mono). Depending on the type of fishing you're doing, you should either beef up your braid significantly, or size down your fluoro significantly. FYI.....80 lb suffix 832 braid is the same diameter as 20 lb. mono. Good luck! |

| Answer: | I have 30lb braided line; you can get many choices. If you have a big fish on, braided line is a plus. The line is thinner than nylon of the same strength, also if the fish gets into rocks or old wood braided line is tougher to break. |
