| Answer: | I use this on a mat at home because you don't need a hole to practice putting. The mat I use has no markings or guide lines on it. Just have the opening pointed so that you can roll a ball into the cup. Precise alignment isn't critical. I practice 8' putts. On a regular green, you have to read the break, and adjust your speed. The home practice has made my putting mechanics more consistent. Practicing putting a straight line is good because even when I'm putting a break, my aim line (target) is still straight at the beginning. I don't use this device on a regular putting green. |
