Answer: I use it for trout by throwing 1/16 and 1/8 ounce jigs and it works really well. I suspect it would be an excellent crappie rod as well.
Question: is it authentic winn product and how can one verify that it is
Answer: The model number tells you everything. The rod is 5 foot 6 inches. All rods under 6' by this mfg are one piece. The "utl" tells you that it is an ultra light rod. Ultra lights typically use 2-4 pound test line. Lure weights of 1/32 oz are normal. I use mine with a water bubble and flies to fish wherever overhanging trees or narrow streams make fly casting difficult. The water bubble, in case you haven't run into one before, is a clear plastic float that can be filled with varying amounts of water. It adds weight, like a fly casting line, to aid landing the fly, which is on a 5-6' leader attached to the bubble, in front of the trout or bass you are trying to entice. Obviously this rig is looked down on by purists, but it works.
