| Answer: | I just wanted to tell you that I completely disregarded the care instructions and have been washing them constantly, very hot in the washing machine (and my washing machine allows pure hot tap water), with an agitator, and drying them medium or high heat since I bought them February 2019. It is now November and they have worn like iron, washed wonderfully. They are even barely stained even though I do the worst kitchen and stove cleanups with them. I bought some other cotton cloths different brand at the same time and I see one is falling apart this week. They are the best cloths I have ever used, they wring easily, have enough water in them without smearing water everywhere. They never stink or smell sour. They are smooth when you buy them and they quilt up like a cloth diaper when you wash and dry them like I do. When you wet them again, they go smooth again. LOVE these cloths and hope they make dishcloths. Wash your cloths and don't be afraid they will disintegrate. |

Take the handles off, heat your oven to 250, put a cookie sheet with foil on the bottom rack to collect drips. Set them on the rack above with the metal handles hanging through the grated, and let them season for about an hour or so. Then, the next few time you use them, wash them with a scrub brush and hot water, no soap. That should get you started on building up a good seasoning layer |
