Answer:	Lock bars, mechanism and operating knob are attached to the inside of the door. There is only a keyhole on the outside. You need to drill holes thru the door for the lock cylinder (in the center) and for the bolts that secure the lock bars.

Answer:	The lock face plate and interior mechanism are mounted in the center of the door. If you can drill the necessary holes it will work as with any other door. There are bolts in the corner of the lock unit that secures it in place that go completely through the door. The shackles that secure the 2 steel bars the extend out from the door sides mount into the door frame. You might have to reinforce/extend the frame outward for strength.

Answer:	There are several differences. The Vipertek are thinner. The key to Smith and Wesson won't always fit but a vipertek key will fit most all brands including smith. The smallest wrist the vipertek will fit is substantially smaller than smith. They won't go quite as large as smith's but pretty close. The overall quality is similar. I would rate the vipertek the exact quality as Galls brand. When I worked for a small sheriff's department, we used Galls brand. I can't recall any breaking. When I worked for the Memphis Police Department, I actually had a guy snap a pair of smiths but he was huge. I'm in fugitive recovery now and these vipertek seem to be decent. I have 4 pair with no failures thus far.
