I don't think these are made for the hike to your tree/ground stand, but you should be able to slip your boots in and out of them to help keep your feet warm one you arrive. I have seen some reviews where people took their boots off while in the stand and put in feet warmers. When they were ready to leave, they put their feet back in the boots and put these away. I think it's up to you but they seem worth a shot. My advice on the size... i had to get a larger size than suggested in order for my boot to fit in them so be mindful of that.
