Answer:	Hi Ashley, Thanks for your question. Plyopic Kids Yoga Mats are 100% free from PVC and toxic chemicals and therefore don't have any foul smelling odors straight out of the box. Their smell is slightly sweet but this fades quickly after airing out. Kind regards Emily Plyopic
