So now I put a cheap bandaid over that thumb nail to give it extra cushioning. This type of glove is the best I have found to work with tho. And, I have large hands for a woman (man hands as Seinfeld calls 'em) and usually wear a lg or xlg. The lg on these work but they're a bit bigger than I like. Still quite functional tho. I love these and another brand that's identical.

Answer:	They are cushiony, and I do wear them with slippers-they will probably work with flats if not too snug. Otherwise, great socks!

Answer:	I don't recommend these for high intensity cardio. The socks tend to slip internally a bit during a flow (slow) Pilates class.

Answer:	I would think so. They do give in the sock area. They are more like a slipper sock but with the elastic bands which are not real tight. They stay on my feet .
