Answer:	I'm a size 6 and the small work for me with respect to fit. They are lightweight and very flexible so I don't think that there will be issues with your tummy. My only problem with them was that they are a bit long for me as I am 5' 4 1/2". I line dry all of my Yoga pants so they never shrink. I don't know if you were to put them in the clothes dryer if they would. Hope that helps.
