2 best power rack
A power rack, also known as a power cage or squat rack, is a crucial piece of strength training equipment commonly used in home gyms and commercial fitness facilities. It provides a safe and versatile platform for various strength-building exercises, primarily focused on barbell exercises. Here's what you need to know about power racks:
Structure: A power rack consists of a sturdy steel frame with four vertical posts forming a rectangular or square shape. The top of the rack typically features horizontal safety pins or J-hooks to hold the barbell.
Safety: One of the primary purposes of a power rack is safety. It allows weightlifters to perform exercises like squats, bench presses, and overhead presses with the reassurance that they can set the bar down on the safety pins if they fail to lift it. This prevents injury and allows for more challenging workouts.
Adjustable J-Hooks and Safety Pins: Most power racks have adjustable J-hooks and safety pins that can be positioned at different heights within the cage. This flexibility accommodates users of varying heights and allows for different exercises to be performed.
Exercises: Power racks are incredibly versatile and can be used for a wide range of exercises, including squats, bench presses, military presses, pull-ups, dips (with additional attachments), and more. They are a core piece of equipment for those pursuing barbell-based strength training programs like powerlifting.
Accessories: Many power racks come with additional accessories and attachments, such as pull-up bars, dip handles, plate storage pegs, and landmine attachments, which expand the variety of exercises that can be performed.
Size and Footprint: Power racks vary in size, so it's essential to consider the available space in your gym or workout area when choosing one. Some models are more compact, making them suitable for home gyms, while larger commercial-grade racks are designed for heavy-duty use in fitness centers.
Weight Capacity: Power racks are built to support substantial weight loads, ensuring they can accommodate the demands of serious weightlifters.
Stability: Proper assembly and secure anchoring are crucial to ensure the stability and safety of a power rack. Some models come with bolt-down options for added stability.
Cost: The price of power racks can vary widely depending on factors like size, features, and brand. Basic home gym models may be more affordable, while commercial-grade racks with extensive features can be more expensive.
In summary, a power rack is an essential piece of strength training equipment that provides a safe and versatile platform for performing a wide range of barbell-based exercises. It is a valuable addition to any gym, whether at home or in a commercial fitness facility, and plays a crucial role in promoting safe and effective strength training workouts.

User questions & answers
Question: | What weight holder attachments fit this cage, to hold plates onto cage? and where did you exactly order them from; brand and description? web address |
Answer: | Not difficult, but there are a lot of little bolts and nuts to thread and assemble. I did it alone...with a hip so bad that it was replaced a month later - it took me 3 hours. If you had 2 able-bodied people working on this, you could do it in less than 2 hours. Once completed, it'll be well worth it. This is a sturdy/stable product; provides the functions for which I was looking. |
Question: | What is the gauge of the 2x2 tube used to manufacture this power rack? Are the safety bars solid or hollow |
Answer: | Recommended user weight capacity is 180 lbs and maximum weight capacity is 275 lbs. The bar distance from the center to center is 37". Thank you. |
Question: | The Height is listed at 83.5, is that the top of the cage or the top of the pull up bar |
Answer: | I’m going to say no for most people. I’m 5’10 and I have to almost do a full squat just to get under the bar and pick it up at max height. My girlfriend is 5’3 and has to squat down under the bar to pick it up. I suppose if you don’t mind that, then sure. But it’s not safe. It’s very easy to miss the rack. |
Question: | what are the size dimensions |
Answer: | Dear Tyler, Yes4All Viking Press Landmine Handle Attachment is designed to fit 2” Olympic barbell. We hope our response answers your inquiry. If there is anything unclear, please don't hesitate to contact us. Best regards, Yes4All Team |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is there a bar to go across your legs to hold you down while doing lat pull downs? (when you add the lat pull add-on |
Answer: | Found a lap bar for power racks at Valor fitness so I’m going with that |
Question: | It says it is 81" - 85" in height. My basement is 84" high, will this fit with the pull up bar attached |
Answer: | No, not at all. It's closer to 86". You would need to buy another pullup bar that doesn't angle up and attach it but then there's no room for your head above the bar. Adding the lat pulldown attachment takes it from 81" to 84" high. You can use the included dip bars and do inverted rows to work the lats. |
Question: | Can you take the pull up bar off if height is an issue? Or flip it upside down? How much height does lat add to the |
Answer: | You would have to add another cross bar to stabilize the cage. The bolts allow you to flip it upside down. The lat pulldown attachment is 84" high. |
Question: | Anyone make weight pegs that can fit on the side of this cage for plate weight storage |
Answer: | So HulkFit sells weight pegs but for some reason the quality isn’t as good. The pegs don’t aim upward and the weights can slip off. I found that the Yes4All 2x3 weight pegs work really well for this cage since they aim upward. |
