Here's what you need to know about Fitbit sleep tracking:
Sleep Stages Tracking: Fitbit devices with sleep tracking capabilities are equipped with sensors that can detect different sleep stages. These stages include light sleep, deep sleep, and rapid eye movement (REM) sleep. By analyzing your movements and heart rate, Fitbit can estimate the time spent in each sleep stage.
Sleep Score: Fitbit calculates a Sleep Score based on your sleep duration, sleep quality, and other factors. This score provides a quick overview of your overall sleep health. A higher score indicates better sleep quality.
Sleep Duration: Fitbit records the total time you spend asleep each night. It also tracks the time it takes to fall asleep and any periods of wakefulness during the night.
Sleep Patterns: Fitbit provides detailed charts and graphs that show your sleep patterns over time. You can see when you typically go to bed, wake up, and experience disturbances in your sleep.

Smart Wake: Some Fitbit devices offer a Smart Wake feature that aims to wake you up at the optimal time within a specified wake-up window. It detects a moment in your sleep cycle where you are in a lighter sleep stage, making it easier to wake up feeling refreshed.
Sleep Goals: Fitbit allows you to set sleep goals, such as achieving a certain number of hours of sleep per night. The app tracks your progress toward these goals and provides reminders.
Sleep Trends: Fitbit's sleep tracking also enables you to monitor trends in your sleep patterns over time. You can see if your sleep quality is improving or if there are consistent issues that need attention.
Compatible Devices: Fitbit offers a range of fitness trackers and smartwatches with sleep tracking capabilities. Some popular models include the Fitbit Charge series, Fitbit Versa series, and Fitbit Sense.
Integration with Other Metrics: Fitbit's sleep data can be integrated with other fitness and health metrics tracked by the device, providing a comprehensive view of your overall health and well-being.

User questions & answers
Question: | Will my charge 3 bands fit the charge 4? Would i need to purchase new bands, again |
Answer: | The watch has a Exercise section that has running, weight lifting Biking, treadmill, Elliptical. workout. You can tap on the one you want without having the phone with you. I don't even own a phone. I use a table but I just did a walk outside and it detected my 10,000+ steps and recorded the miles. It may be more accurate with the phone. I used windows Tablet and/or Windows10 with GPS and they both sync with when I got back and it said the same amount of steps as on my watch. I think it is pretty close anyway. You can see everything on the watch. That is why I like it a lot. I didn't think I would be able to see anything except heart rate and steps. |
Question: | Will this watch offer heart rate variability tracking or collect data that can be extracted by an app for hrv tracking |
Answer: | There is a music control option (either swipe down from the top of the main screen, or use the top right button on the edge of the watch casing). I have not used it yet. You get notifications such as texts & calendar alert and phone calls by a buzz on the watch. Texts are displayed as soon as I get them on my phone. Simple swipe from the bottom of the screen up lets you review them. You can then simply swipe right to dismiss them or scroll down through all of them to a "clear all" option. |
Question: | Will a regular charge 4 band fit on the charge 4 special edition? Looks like it has special connections |
Answer: | "My Blaze is 2 DAYS AT THE MOST" This is my 4th Fitbit watch over the past 4 years and this Blaze is the worst ever on the battery life. Because of this, this will be my last Fitbit. I will be checking out the Apple Watch when this one drops dead from exhaustion. I am 73 and this Fitbit can't keep up with a grumpy-ole-man! I have found that everyday when I shower, I put the Blaze in the charger and that seems to keep the thing from dropping dead on me when least expected! |
Question: | Does GPS require paying a monthly fee to anyone or is it free |
Answer: | I have a 38mm apple watch and the blaze. The screen of the apple watch is the same size as the blaze if you turned the apple watch display sideways. The case of the blaze (it fits into the band) is a bigger overall footprint than the Apple Watch. That said, the Blaze is much more flush with your arm and doesn't stick out and feel bulky like the Apple Watch. Bigger footprint, but lighter and less noticeable when wearing if that helps. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can you receive text messages from an iphone |
Answer: | I have an iphone 11 and a Versa 2 and yes, you can receive text and phone calls, just not reply or answer without the phone nearby. Nice feature with phone is, you can reject the call from the watch. It needs to be close enough to the phone since it’s bluetooth. It will not do it if it’s not connected to the phone. This feature worked even on the Blaze I used to have connected to an iPhone 8. |
Question: | can it work with my iphone 8 plus |
Answer: | :can it work with my iphone 8 plus? A: You can NOT use the quick reply or voice reply feature if you have any iPhone. These are convenient features but are of NO use on an iPhone. Wish I would’ve know I wouldn’t have gotten this Fitbit |
Question: | can i get this without alexa |
Answer: | You do NOT have to activate Alexa when you setup. But it is very cool. I was just driving and I asked Alexa how far to destination. BAM! |
Question: | Does this watch show blood oxygen (SPo |
Answer: | What does show up on my Versa 2 is a graph of Estimated Oxygen Variation. When you bring up the graph showing the sleep stages during a nights sleep, then scroll down past the bars showing the time spent in each stage, you find a graph of the estimated oxygen variation. A low variation is good and shows as a fairly stable green line - probably in the range of 90 percent oxygen saturation and above. A spike to higher variation - which might indicate apnea - shows up as an orange peak. A couple of nights ago,my wife woke to get me to roll to my side because had been snoring loudly for a while. When I looked at my sleep trace the next day the oxygen variation was low and steady until about a half hour before she woke me, then jumped up and continued rising as an orange line until it suddenly dropped to a normal range - probably when she woke me. Note: I had a sleep study done in February, which confirmed I have episodes of sleep apnea - mainly when I roll onto my back. I am being fitted for a CPAP on Friday, |
