I will say that the shoelaces that come with the shoes weren't long enough to comfortably make a bow, so I bought 45" cloth, flat laces instead. Love the shoes, though. My arthritic feet definitely feel better with these. |

| Answer: | No, but there are more 1/2" by 1/4" thick, shiny rectangular rubber non-skid pads on the outside that I've ever seen on this type of product. Personally, I wear an AFO (orthotic rigid brace from ball of foot to above mid-calf with articulated ankle) which is non-permeable. Nothing sticks to it, not even bathtub decals so the sole slides forward in shoes. wearing these socks give me complete grip inside the brace all the way up the back if the heel and also from ball of foot (where the AFO ends) to tip of toes. I no longer slide to the end of my shoe which is much safer walking. Since you asked, I tried them inside out just as a test and the grippers keep the sock in place, but obviously they are then unable to provide grip to the outside. |

| Answer: | There is no band at the top of the socks. Rather, they are the same uniform thick cloth that begins at the toe and ends at the upper edge of the sock. The upper is flexible, expands a bit, and is not so tight as to leave indentations. Very comfy. Does not pull off in bed. |

| Answer: | I'd say they are about the same thickness as football/soccer socks, so it would be like wearing two pairs. I would wear them on the outside of the football sock, so the grip pads help prevent your feet from sliding around inside the shoe. However, you might have some sliding at the interface between the two pairs of socks. Maybe try them both ways? |
