Answer:	it works for us, but our boat is not that large. I would get the polyester rope, 5/8" would work. Also, check the rating of the rope

Answer:	Transparent. The intent is to not flood your cockpit with light at night. It does anamazing job at this. Your Windex would have to be mounted at least 2 inches higher than the light to achieve your desired effect. Fair winds ⛵
