I have taken the explorer down a class 3 river the cabarrton river in Idaho with no problems. Take the skeg off if you do rivers, will just cause you problems if you dont, mainly you will loose it. Only use tue skeg in lakes or ponds.

Answer:	the silver ions in the sunpurity mineral sanitizer work with the 'each use' oxidizer, in a spa so equipped with an ozonator. The dichlor is the weekly or so 'shock' of fast acting chlorine that dissipates in 15 minutes or so, keeping the spa technically 'chlorine free' but super clean. But the silver ions and oxidizer (put in typically at each use of spa, and which activates the silver ions, as best I understand the process) are what keep the spa water clean and fresh on a daily basis. There are two types of this product sold, one is yellow cylinder, one is this square shaped one. Our spa has a slot for the square to fit in, but the yellow cylinder can be used (loosely in the large filter area as well), more a matter of preference/ease of use. I am sure you can read up at spa websites on the way it all works scientifically, or otherwise look the info up online if want to know more. Seems sort of woo-woo and mysterious when new to it, but our experience as 12 year spa owners is that it works beautifully, is worth changing every 4 months or so, and gives you clear, chlorine free/bromine free/itch-free/smell free spa water. So you don't have to take a shower after you take a spa! Would NEVER go back to a chlorine or bromine system, and suggest people consider ozonator spa, particularly for private use.

Answer:	I just measured inside to inside of bed of 2002 Toyota Tacoma from left side to right side and it measures 57 1/2" and I have 1 1/2" to spare on the connecting tube before top tubes touch each other leading me to say the minimum bed width from left to right is 56". Hope that helps!

Question:	Has anyone tried to use this for SUP (Stand Up Paddle)? I am wondering about this since it has a "V" shape that might not fit with the SUP
Answer:	There's an interior bar that connects the two pillars that attach to the bed rail. This bar allows you to expand the width, however there are horizontal bars coming from those pillars that measure about 2.5' each thus you 5' minimum width. I had the same issue with my ranger, 4.7 width. You can cut back the 3" from those bars and still be able to fasten the interior bar. For the price difference that's what I'd recommend.
Question:	I want to be able to walk about one mile using this with a ten foot sit on top kayak. Would this work
Answer:	no they not. you will have to remove the c-channel track. so if you have to do that, remove the bed rail top cap, then you will see that there is already holes (for post)made in bed that will allow you to just drop in easy home made or bought ladder rack. so safe your money and don't damage your bed.
