Tips: how to measure your boat for a bimini top?

1. Using a tape measure,decide which length top provides the desired amount of shade coverage.

2. The pivotal mounting point will be approximately at the center point of the top on each side of your boat.

3. After this, measure the distance beteewn these mounting points to determine the width you need.

4. While standing inside the boat, measure from the pivotal mounting point straight up to determine the desired height.

Note: Bimini Top should never be open when the speed of your boat is over 25 MPH.

Note: If the width of your boat just reaches the size critical value, we suggest you choose a larger size!!!

Answer:	The legs can move a little bit towards the inside or outside so if its 48 wide the legs can move an inch on each side and fit. My canvas is tearing up now after a year and 4 months. The material is a little bit thin. I would go for a stronger or thicker material it would last longer. My boat is on salt sea that can be an issue to. It stays 24/7 after fishing at the dock.

Answer:	It did not fit over our Yamaha 150. I ordered an inexpensive waterproof bicycle cover to put over the outboard.

Answer:	We didn’t have any problem getting over high bow rails. The biggest issue is you need to rig something up to support the center of the cover in the bow. We tried the line suggestion in other comments but ended up just building a simple wood stand we put in bow. Cover can go over the rails and the stand.

Answer:	the rear support poles must be disconnected to fold the top down. the sockets on the top support bow are fixed position. the connecters provided are screw type ,I replaced mine with pin clips for an easier and quicker set up and take down. if you fold the top to the back'it's flat,if you fold to the front, the curved shape of the front bow keeps it from being flat
