Adjust the elevation and windage settings:
1. Remove the dial covers.
2. Use the raised bar on the dial cover, a coin or screw driver to make the adjustments.

User questions & answers
Question: | Will this fit on a h&r single shot rifle |
Answer: | It fits a Picatinny rail. You can likely install one if your firearm doesn't already have one. |
Question: | What is the expected battery life on this |
Answer: | Sorry for jumping in here late, but just wanted to add that John was 100% correct on his answer. If the brightness is set too high for the ambient light conditions, you can get a "starburst" effect. We recommend running red dot sights at the lowest brightness setting that you can still clearly see the dot (the exact setting will depend on ambient light) |
Question: | How easy will it be to see a man sized target at 300m |
Answer: | That shouldn't happen. Best is to contact them, I believe they will replace faulty red dot sights. The laser and red dot are independent from each other. If you push the Red Dot button it should turn on. & When you turn off you have to press it for like 5 seconds. Just contact the company. |
Question: | HOW CLEAR ARE THE RED AND GREEN DOTS |
Answer: | I have a magpul flip up rear and iron on the barrel. My red dot sight is mounted just in front of of the flip rear. My reticle when sighted hovers just above my front iron sight but I can see my magpul rear through the optic if need be. Hope this helps. I love this optic on my AR |

Impact 1000 Laser Rangefinder (LRF101)
When all you need is an intuitive platform with angle compensation–we're looking at you, bowhunters and range-day lovers–the Impact 1000 is all the rangefinder you need and then some. If things get up close and personal, range targets down to five yards out, with the ability to stretch out to 1,000 yards if need be. Lightweight and simple to operate, the Impact 1000 gets you on target fast meaning you can no longer justify going into the field without a laser rangefinder.
HCD (Horizontal Component Distance) Mode
The Impact 1000’s HCD range display is intended to be the primary mode—used for most rifle and archery shooting conditions. The yardage number displayed is the critical horizontal component distance.
Use the HCD range mode in the following situations:
• Rifle shooting on level ground at any range.
• Rifle shooting out to ranges of 800 yards with mild slopes (less than 15 degrees).
• Rifle shooting out to ranges of 400 yards with moderate slopes (15 to 30 degrees).
• For all archery shooting.
The displayed HCD yardage number is corrected for shot angle and needs no extra user input; shooters simply use the appropriate level ground bullet drop and wind adjustment for the range displayed and shoot. Archers use the appropriate level ground sight pin for the range displayed and shoot.
LOS (Line of Sight) Mode
The Impact 1000’s LOS (Line of Sight) mode is intended for rifle shooters who are using slope correcting ballistic drop data cards, ballistic cell phone applications, or other ballistic programs and who are shooting at distances beyond 500 yards and with slopes greater than 15 degrees. Most shooters and archers will not need the LOS mode.
The range number displayed in LOS mode is the actual line of sight range with no ballistic correction for slope. Most of the commonly used ballistic devices can provide independent slope correction for bullet drop data and require actual line of sight range input. Using the LOS range when calculating bullet wind drifts under these steep slope/long range conditions will provide a higher degree of accuracy than using the HCD range.
To use, simply input the LOS range number into the electronic device or use the LOS range when referencing ballistic drop cards with slope correction.
Scan Feature
The Scan feature can be used to range moving targets or help range smaller targets on uniform backgrounds in either HCD or LOS modes. Once powered up, press and hold the Measure button and scan the laser back and forth, watching for changes in the yardage number as the crosshairs move across the target object. A blinking 'S' display indicates Scan Ranging is activated.

User questions & answers
Question: | Will low height rings fit this scope & a remington |
Answer: | Yes this will fit with a low height rings on a Remington 700! I have one mounted on a Remington 700 bdl |
Question: | Is it good in dark areas |
Answer: | Me owning both a 44mm and a 50mm I’d say if you want one for lower light go 50mm. I’ve heard that it doesn’t matter but like I said i have both.. the 50mm you can see earlier in the morning and later into the night.. only down side is if your facing a sun rise or a sun down the 50mm absorbs to much light causing a glare.. you can buy a screw in extender that takes care of that tho.. hope That helped |
Question: | will this scope hold up to the pounding of the AK47 recoil |
Answer: | This is an amazing scope. Like the others have said handling a 416 rigby and a 338 win mag itll hold up to the 7.62x39 for sure. I know ur thinking probably about the continual jarring of a semi automatic but this scope holds up just fine. Best thing is u cant go wrong with vortexes warranty. I have two a 2-7x32 on my 375 HH, and a 3-9x40 on my .30.06, and only had one issue on the 3-9x40 from a shooting trip after i got it home i guess it got knocked around too hard and there was like dirt inside of the glass. I called vortex they sent me a sgipping label and said well fix it ir replace it and in a week or two i got my scope back good as new. I love vortex the scopes are great, and the customer service cant be beat. |
Question: | Does this scope come with flip up scope covers? If not, any recommendations |
Answer: | The scope does not come with flip up scope covers. I purchased Butler Creek ones and they work great. For the eye piece go with size 14-15-16 (their sizing is weird) and for the objective go with 13-15. They work great and I have no complaints. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can this be mounted on the left side |
Answer: | Yes it can. That's exactly how I mounted mine. |
Question: | How far away from your eye (minimum and max) can you mount red dot |
Answer: | I am no expert but you can mount the optic as far away as you want. If it is too close you might take it in the eye when the trigger is pulled, but you’ll also run into more MOA the further away it is. |
Question: | what size hex wrench does it take to install or does it come with one |
Answer: | It comes with everything you need to install it. |
Question: | How many sections does it take up on the rail |
Answer: | I think 2 or 3. |

A utility clip keeps these compact units close at hand, and each model is easily mounted to any 1/4-20 tripod plate when you need a rock-steady base.
Normal Mode
Your Razor HD 4000 comes preset to normal target mode. This is the standard mode providing the range of the target with the strongest range result. Normal Mode is the recommended target mode for most situations.
First Mode
Locks in and displays the closest distance when panning and scanning. This mode is ideal for ranging a smaller target in front of other larger or more reflective objects.
Note: If unsure about the range, simply release the measure button and range again.
Last Mode
Locks in and displays the farthest distance when panning and scanning. This mode is ideal for ranging a specific target behind a group of objects like brush, trees, rocks, etc.
Note: If unsure about the range, simply release the measure button and range again.
Extended Laser Range Mode
The ELR target mode allows for ranging smaller, less reflective targets at extended distances. It is ideal for ranging when Normal Mode is unable to obtain a desired range. A longer response time may be required to build the desired range. For best results, it is recommended to be used on a tripod.
- The Ranger 1800 rangefinder is easy to use and features a clean, illuminated display and highly intuitive menu. The Ranger 1800 is capable of ranging up to 1,800 yards.
- The primary HCD mode displays an angle compensated distance that is ideal for the majority of hunters and shooters. An advanced LOS mode provides you the option to calculate long distance, high angle shots with increased precision.
- A scan feature gives continuous range readings as you pan across a landscape or track a moving target. Three brightness settings allow the display to stay visible in various light conditions.
- Fully multi-coated lenses deliver optimal light transmission. Textured rubber armor provides a secure, non-slip grip. Water and fogproof performance keep the system operating in the harshest conditions.
- The included neck lanyard and removable utility clip make the Ranger easy to pack and keep handy. Compatible with a tripod adapter, allowing use on a tripod or car window mount.

Product features
HCD (Horizontal Component Distance)
HCD range display is intended to be the primary mode. The yardage number displayed is the critical horizontal component distance is corrected for shot angle and needs no extra user input. Use the HCD range mode in the following situations:
•Rifle shooting on level ground at any range.
•Rifle shooting out to ranges of 400 yards with moderate slopes (15 to 30 degrees) or out to ranges of 800 yards with mild slopes (less than 15 degrees).
•For all archery shooting.
Shooters simply use the appropriate level ground bullet drop and wind adjustment for the range displayed and shoot. Archers use the appropriate level ground sight pin for the range displayed and shoot.
LOS (Line of Sight)
LOS mode is intended for rifle shooters who are using slope correcting ballistic drop data cards, ballistic apps, or PDAs with ballistic programs and are shooting at distances beyond 500 yards and slopes greater than 15 degrees.
To use, simply input the LOS range number into the device or use the LOS range when referencing ballistic drop cards with slope correction.
Scan Feature
The Scan feature can be used to range moving targets or help range smaller targets on uniform backgrounds in either HCD or LOS modes.
Once powered up, press and hold the Measure button and scan laser back and forth, watching for changes in the yardage number as crosshairs move across the target object. A blinking 'S' display indicates Scan Ranging is activated.
- The Razor Red Dot Sight-6 MOA is designed to be mounted to a wide variety of firearms and used in various shooting applications. The Razor was designed so shooters have unlimited eye relief for easy target acquisition.
- A premium wide field lens gives the shooter an impressive field of view. The daylight bright red dot has nine illumination levels allowing shooters to find their ideal brightness setting and easily adjust if conditions change.
- Anti-reflective XR coatings on the lenses increase light transmission for maximum brightness while Armortek coatings protect the lenses from oil and scratches.
- O-ring sealed and a rugged one piece chasis constructed from aircraft grade aluminum ensure waterproof and shockproof performance.
- The Razor runs off a single CR2032 battery which can be easily switched in and out.

Reticle
The daylight bright red dot is easy to see and paints targets regardless of lighting conditions or background.
The key thing to remember when shooting with the Crossfire Red Dot is to keep both of your eyes open! Shooting with both eyes open allows you to take full advantage of your peripheral vision to get on target very quickly. Eye placement is not critical.
Windage & Elevation
Remove the turret cap and use the raised bar on the cover or a coin to turn the adjustment dial. Move the dials in the direction you wish the bullet’s point-of-impact to change. Turning the elevation turret counter-clockwise will raise the elevation. Turning the windage turret clockwise will move the point of impact to the left.
Mounting the Crossfire Red Dot
The Crossfire Red Dot can be mounted on a variety of platforms using the high mount or low mount.
- Attach the unit to the rail/base with the illumination dial positioned on the right side.
- Make sure the mount is solidly seated in the base groove. In order to prevent recoil injury, position the Red Dot so you have at least four inches of eye relief.
- Be sure the base clamp is hooked around the outside of the rail/base.
- Press the Red Dot downward and forward toward the muzzle. Then, firmly tighten the base clamp bolt using the hex wrench.
Red Dot Image
The dot-centering screws can be used to help center the red dot in the VMX-3T’s field of view. After the VMX-3T is mounted in front of red dot scope, the dot may seem off-centered while viewing through the VMX-3T. This will not affect the point-of impact. If desired, the centering screws can be used to move the dot up/down or left/right until the dot is more centered.
Adjust the Focus
Use the focus knob to achieve a sharp image. Turn the focus dial clockwise or counter-clockwise until image is as sharp as possible.
Using the Flip Mount
To use the included flip mount, simply push on the release button and flip the VMX-3T off to the side.
Mounting the VMX-3T Magnifier
Using the included screws, attach the VMX-3T magnifier to the Flip Mount. Ocular lens and Release Button should face shooter.
Absolute Co-Witness Height with Flip Mount
Positions the VMX-3T at 37 mm from the base surface to the center of the optic. This puts the dot height at a center (absolute) sight picture when co-witnessed with standard iron sights. For this height, do not install the included shim plate.
Lower 1/3 Co-Witness Height with Flip Mount and Shim Plate
Positions the VMX-3T at 40 mm from the base surface to the center of the optic. This puts the dot height at a lower 1/3 sight picture when co-witnessed with standard iron sights. For this height, install the included shim plate between the VMX-3T and the Flip Mount.
