12 best leupold cz rings
Lenses for concerts, particularly in the context of music genres like progressive rock, can be crucial for capturing high-quality images of performers and the overall concert experience. Here's what you need to know about choosing lenses for concert photography:
Low-Light Performance: Concert venues often have dim lighting, so lenses with wide apertures are essential. Look for prime lenses with apertures like f/1.8 or f/1.4. These wide apertures allow more light to enter the camera, enabling you to shoot in low-light conditions without using flash, which is typically not allowed during concerts.
Focal Length:
- Wide-Angle Lenses (24mm - 35mm): Wide-angle lenses are suitable for capturing the entire stage, including the band and audience. They can also create dramatic shots by emphasizing the size of the stage and the crowd.
- Standard Lenses (50mm - 85mm): Standard prime lenses are versatile and can be used for capturing both wide shots and close-ups of individual performers.
- Telephoto Lenses (70mm - 200mm+): Telephoto lenses are ideal for capturing tight shots of performers from a distance. They are especially useful if you're shooting from the back of the venue or in larger concert halls.
Image Stabilization: Lenses with image stabilization (IS or VR) can be beneficial for handheld shooting in low light. Image stabilization helps reduce the effects of camera shake, allowing you to shoot at slower shutter speeds without blurriness.
Fast Autofocus: Concerts can be dynamic, with performers moving quickly. Look for lenses with fast and accurate autofocus capabilities to ensure you can capture sharp images, especially in challenging lighting conditions.
Durability: Concert photography may require you to be in crowded and sometimes chaotic environments.Consider lenses with weather-sealing and robust build quality to withstand the rigors of live events.
Prime vs. Zoom: Prime lenses have a fixed focal length and often offer wider apertures, making them great for low light. Zoom lenses offer versatility, allowing you to zoom in and out, but they may have smaller apertures. Depending on your style and preferences, you may choose one or both types.
Lens Filters: Depending on the venue's lighting setup, you might need neutral density (ND) filters to control exposure, especially if you're shooting with wide apertures in bright conditions.
Camera Compatibility: Ensure that the lenses you choose are compatible with your camera's mount.
Consider the Genre: Different music genres may require different photography styles. Progressive rock concerts, for instance, often involve intricate lighting and stage setups, so having a lens that can capture those details is important.
Etiquette: When photographing concerts, be mindful of the performers and the audience. Follow the concert venue's rules and guidelines regarding photography and respect the artist's intellectual property rights.
In concert photography, the choice of lenses can significantly impact the quality of your shots. It's essential to have a selection of lenses that cover a range of focal lengths and apertures to adapt to various shooting conditions during a concert. Ultimately, the right lens for concert photography depends on your creative vision and the specific challenges of the event.

User questions & answers
Question: | Do these rings mount directly to the built in Sako base or do they require separate bases |
Answer: | They can go either way, but they are designed to mount directly to the integral rail that is part of the receiver. |
Question: | Is this 11mm high or 11mm dovetail for grooved receiver? Quality? Any better 4 German scope and gun |
Answer: | 11mm dovetail. I mounted 3 pairs on CZ455 rim fire rifles,2 of them using Leupold 40mm VX-II and one Cabela's 3-9x 40mm rim fire scopes. They have a very good fit and finish. Very happy with them. |
Question: | What is the part number for the matte version |
Answer: | They only sell these rings in gloss. I checked the leupold website as well. I have a matte black leupold rimfire scope and the rings look ok. You can alway rough them up with some sandpaper or steel wool and paint them flat black. Best rimfire rings I could find, squirrels don't care either way. |
Question: | what are the dimensions |
Answer: | What dimensions are you interested in? height ? diameter? dovetail? |

About Leupold
From humble immigrant beginnings, Leupold grew--based on a promise of quality--to become a classic American company. In 1907, Fred Leupold set up a one-man shop at 5th and Oak streets in Portland to repair surveying equipment. He was joined by his brother-in-law, Adam Voelpel, and later by inventor John Cyprian Stevens, and the foundations for a century of success were in place.
During Leupolds second half-century, the company focused heavily on the sports optics business. Leupolds presence in the hunting and shooting market expanded with innovative optics and features that are now legendary among hunters, shooters, and outdoors enthusiasts. Many of the industrys standards--nitrogen waterproofing, the Duplex reticle, and more--were Leupold creations.

User questions & answers
Question: | Does this scope come with 30 mm scope adapters |
Answer: | This was a 1 inch only. They may make a 30 mm. Not sure. |
Question: | Will the rings on these mounts accommodate only a larger 1.61-inch tube, or will they work on a scope with a 1-inch tube? Thanks |
Answer: | LEUPOLD #57323, are the 3/8" see-thru rings that I'm referring to on this comment: the ones that I received are only for 1"-inch scope tube. & the other 3/8" rings that I've ordered I've not had the time to check them out but am hoping they fit only 1" scopes since those are what I have on order. Good luck & happy shooting. D.H. |
Question: | Will these rings work on a cz - 455 - fs rimfire bolt action rifle. allowing room for the bolt and the rear site and allow easy scope use |
Answer: | I have a 4-12 Nikon Rimfire mounted on a 455 Trainer and they work great. Plenty of room underneath to see the irons. |
Question: | In case anyone is wondering. All Leupold Rifleman Scopes (which these rings are apparently made for) have a 1" scope tube diameter. The specs on this item's description are lacking |
Answer: | This rings are probably the best ones I've found. I own two sets of them, one for my Benjamin Discovery air rifle and one for my Marlin 60SB .22LR rifle. They are great for 1" diam tube scopes. Great for shooting using the iron sights. |

User questions & answers
Question: | will these rings with a 49.5mm objective diameter clear a ar15 flattop or should i go with the super high rings? i just want it close to the barrel |
Answer: | No! I bought high rings for my 44mm VX-5HD and there was less than a MM of clearance and I couldn’t get a low enough cheek weld to see through the scope in my CA-10. Go with the super high or better yet look into the nightforce ultralight aluminum/titanium rings. They have a better selection of ring heights. I recommend you check them out in a store first. Take your rifle and scope and ask to see how they fit. Any good gun store should accommodate you. I actually got an even swap from the Shooters Bench in Boise even though I didn’t buy my rings there. |
Question: | Are these |
Answer: | Highs measure 1.06 |
Question: | Are these steel rings |
Answer: | If i remember correctly these are not the steel rings.. They are aluminum... |
Question: | I have a browning x - bolt max long range with a 20 moa rail and i will be mounting a leupold 5hd 56mm. will these medium rings fit |
Answer: | These should be perfect. I mounted a Leupold MK4 with a 50mm bell on a 0 moa rail on a rem 700 varmint and it cleared with .410 between bell and barrel. |

User questions & answers
Question: | How can you tell if this is authentic or a counterfeit? If they are made in Oregon why does it take 1 to 2 months to arrive |
Answer: | I have never personally seen a knock off Leupold. However, I have been told they all have the same serial number (that number is unknown to me), and the lettering on the gold ring is "sloppy". I'm going to a major gun show this weekend, may know more on Monday. Leupold does not sell direct, except for special orders through their custom shop. A typical scope goes through a distributor, then a retailer. |
Question: | So these are authentic Leupolds? If I have problems and send it back to the factory, they with honor lifetime warranty |
Answer: | All authentic Leupold products are backed by our legendary warranty, but make sure sure the seller listed as one of our authorized retailers. There are unauthorized retailers selling on the Amazon market place and we therefore can not say with certainty that they are selling authentic Leupold products. If a price is too good to be true or the seller is name you don't recognize there is a good chance they are not an authorized Leupold retailer. |
Question: | How is this scope on close range once sighted as directed? I am reading a lot about it needing to be on 9 zoom. Too much for 25yds |
Answer: | I cited mine in at 50 and it worked great out to 150. It is designed to be cited in at any power and then you dial it in for the load that you are using. |
Question: | What kind of cross hair does it come with |
Answer: | Hi, It's set up for a 50 yard zero with slugs in a shotgun, or balls in a muzzle loader. Then there are two small circles below the horizontal reticle for 75 yards, and 100 yards. It seems just approximate, but the idea is sound. I like it. The Leupold website shows the reticle. Thunder runner |

Leupold VX-Freedom Scopes
Leupold VX-Freedom Rifle Scopes bring a new level of access to the quality, durability, and reliability that Leupold optics are known for. What can you expect from this VX-Freedom Series? Suited for muzzleloaders, rimfire, and centerfire guns, the VX Freedom series offers a wide variety of magnification ranges and reticles. Although they may be affordable, Leupold didn't cut any corners in their features. Features like Twilight Light Management System, scratch resistant lenses, and 1/4 MOA click turrets make these scopes an unbelievable value!
Lasting and dependable
The bodies of VX-Freedom scopes are made of durable 6061-T6 aircraft grade aluminum. These scopes are waterproof, fogproof and shockproof, with their scratch resistant lenses further ensuring lasting quality.
Optical finesse
Multi-coated lenses reduce color aberrations to provide a bright, true-to-life image. And Twilight Light Management System offers decent visibility even in those critical first and last near-dark minutes of the day when game is often most active.
Versatility
Each scope in the line features 3:1 zoom ratio. It lets you switch from observation and target acquisition to long-range precision aiming with just one turn. And the vast adjustment ranges for windage and elevation let you compensate for wind and bullet drop, helping you thrive at any distance, in any weather.
Duplex Reticle
Classic 1962 Leupold design. Thicker outer posts help you acquire target fast while thin, wire-like crosshairs allow for long-range precision. If you like minimalist reticles suitable for various scenarios, go for Duplex.
Pig-Plex Reticle
This simplified version of the original Pig-Plex is specifically designed for hog hunting. It utilizes a 200 or 300 yard zero, depending on ammunition and has holdover points out to 600 yards. The centralized circle provides quick target acquisition on fast moving targets.
Rimfire MOA Reticle
Based on Leupold's T-MOA reticle. Consists of wide 5 MOA hash for quick reference and thin crosshairs for precision aiming. Features 25 MOA of bullet drop measurement in 1 MOA increments. Great for rimfire specific targets.
Tri-MOA Reticle
Based on Leupold's T-MOA reticle. Features thin crosshairs with 10 MOA of measurement in 3 directions. Upper portion is left open while thick 5 MOA peripheral posts help you acquire target faster.

User questions & answers
Question: | Does this scope have rubber on the eyepiece to lessen scope burn |
Answer: | The Leupold VX-Freedom line does not have rubber on the eyepiece, but it does have very generous eye relief (4.17" on low power and 3.66" on high power), so when mounted correctly being hit or "burned" with the scope due to recoil should not be an issue. |
Question: | would it also be compatible with other loading's such as the barnes 275 grain ttsx, or am i better of getting a cds for that specific load |
Answer: | Cds for that load |
Question: | Will it fit a Remington |
Answer: | You would want the standard 3-9x40’this one is made just for the 450 bushmaster Hornady round. You would have a hard time getting it to dial in if at all |
Question: | I was told by a gun buyer that they discontinued the cds scope is this true |
Answer: | Not sure |
