Answer:	The bottom folds like a brown paper bag so that it can lay flat. But in reality it doesn’t lay flat. It still takes up quiet a bit of room when “flattened”. It’s not the type of cooler that can be rolled up or made compact. But a great cooler and good looking, love mine!

Answer:	Depends on the size of the bag. In general, it will require about 18 by 7 by 12 space., depending on how full it is

Answer:	It will definitely hold 16 out ce cans. It can hold 12 twelve ounce cans with about 5 pounds of ice do it could probably hold about 8 16 ounce cans with about 4 pounds of ice. Sometimes I don't need that much ice though because I know it will still keep whatever I have in the pack cold so I can put more stuff in.
