Answer:	I think I spent under $10. The handle is more comfy then the metal only ones. Just Amazon wish list it and wait for another vendor to stock it at a cheaper price.

Answer:	This works with any kind of boot or shoe with laces. Put on your footwear and lace and tie by hand as usual. Then slip the hook under the lowermost crossing of laces (down near your toes), and pull up (directly away from the shoe surface) to gather up the slack in the laces. Move the hook up to the next highest crossing and pull out the slack again; repeat until you get near the top of the lace pattern and then re-tie to remove all the slack you have pulled out. Easier to do than it is to describe.
