| Answer: | I'm not sure what is recommended by the manufacturer, but we have ours mounted on adjacent studs 16" apart. We've had it up for over a year now, fully loaded with 3 snowboards and 2 longboards stacked on the same pegs (skateboards not surfboards). It's held up great with some minor cosmetic deformation to the foam liner. The picture of the product looks like 32" apart skipping a stud between, which aesthetically looks better and is going to be a bit more stable for balancing as opposed to 16" apart, which might be more prone to things tipping to one side while you're loading/unloading it. We did 16" due to some wonky space constraints. |
