Question:	Is the wood high quality enough to be engraved
Answer:	I have owned my ice pick for probably 2+ yrs. Never has the pick separated from its wooden handle. But, you can try to use super glue to secure it and then see if it happens again. However, if you are still able to use it, then go for it "as is".

Answer:	It unscrews to open. That way it is securely in place and won't come open by accident.

Answer:	I don't believe I purchased this exact item -- but I purchased one very similar (probably why I was asked to try to answer your question). The item description advises the dimensions to be: 3 x 1 x 11 inches..and so (I believe) 1 inch is probably the width of the "handle" part. Mine is a approximately 12/16th of an inch... so this one is probably a bit thicker than mine.

Answer:	Do you mean what products are used to make this item, I have absolutely no idea as I am neither a manufacture but I am thinking the metal point idea probably made of. Steel and the handle might possibly made of some kind of wood product. It makes no difference to me as long as it chips through ice and when heated makes holes in the straps of my sandals.
