Question:	Are the rods that hold the skis coated in rubber or some thing
Answer:	No they're not. At first I thought they were anodized but they are made out of steel so I believe simply painted. They are smooth and the ends are de-burred, so I haven't had any problems with scratching anything. YMMV.
Question:	Can you only hang snow board if you have 2 of them
Answer:	Absolutely! The ski rack can hold (2) snowboards per storage slot as long as the boards are strapped back-to-back so that they can hang securely from the tails.
Question:	Are the mounting brackets spaced so that they can be installed on a typical 16”oc stud spacing, i.e. 32” on center
Answer:	Yes, the default mounting bracket spacing is 32", but the mounting holes are actually 2" slots so you can adjust the bracket spacing from 30" - 34".
Question:	Do these hurt the camber/rocker on the skis
Answer:	I wondered the same. I ended up purchasing the (10) ski rack. I believe most ski shops, resorts put all their rental equipment in similar storage. After installation of the rack, the majority of the load-stress is on the high on tips. So, I see no impact to camber. I weighed this rack system against ceiling and standing them in tubes against a wall (storages) and after installing this rack, really appreciate the organization aspect it offers in the garage (off the deck, separated evenly and tighter against the wall). I also have to think the combination of ski materials used nowadays are resilient to handle this type of load-stress in storage. Cheers.

Answer:	I use it for skis and hockey sticks. Lacrosse sticks might work. I doubt baseball bats will work.

Answer:	You are going to need concrete screws and you will need to drill into the wall with a concrete drill bit.

Answer:	I store mine this way. The skis end up tilted back so excess water drains.

Answer:	These racks would be fine outside. The length of the screws are about 2" and will sink into a stud or drywall anchor just fine.

Answer:	My question as well. When I purchased my Ultrawall rack you could buy them on Amazon. This is no longer the case. I have tried eBay, online stores, the Ultrawall maker website, etc. but have not found them available anywhere.
Question:	Does the hanging mechanism put too much torque on the tips of the skis? I'm concerned about long term pressure on those tips
Answer:	I believed it did. I returned it for that reason! I think it works fine for Nordic skis but downhill skis wing out and have all the weight on the tips which I don’t think is good for the skis for any period of time.

Question:	does it hold cross country skis
Answer:	It should as long as you bind the skis together. My guess is, if you hang CC skis without binding them together, they will separate at the bottom and the curve on the tips will not be enough to hold the skis in place. With downhill skis we just put them together with the ski brakes holding them together and the rack works fine. Hope this makes sense.
Question:	What are the dimensions of the rack
Answer:	It is 122cm length and the hooks are 24cm.
Question:	Can you order extra ski hooks for the mount
Answer:	I actually don't know the answer to the question, but I would be stunned if extra ski hooks could not be ordered separately for this item. There is no reason why hooks for more than five skis couldn't be installed. It should be easy to find the answer to the question with a simple call to the company. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Answer:	I guess that could happen. Mine is mounted at about 5'6", but my garage wall is also about 12" recessed so I would not have that problem.
Question:	The 12" length of the hanging bar is a deal breaker for me. I just need to hang 4 skis, not 8, so i think just 6" would be plenty for me. Thoughts
Answer:	All of our racks have 12” bars. Maybe the Rough Rack 3-6 Ski and Snowboard rack would work better for you, it is a little smaller than the 4-8 Ski and Snowboard rack.

Question:	Is there any concern about the pressure this puts on the shovels of the skis and deforming shape
Answer:	Yes. I mounted this rack and put my Nordica NRG90s, 185s, (126-90-110), on the rack, and the tips were flexible enough that they began slipping through. Tried again, with velcro straps on, and same things started to happen - I took them off the rack, feearing that the tips would crack, or just slip through again, dropping the skis on the floor. I'm now looking for a free-standing rack; not worth the risk.

Question:	How do you get the hooks to stay attached to the wall mount? Wood glue
Answer:	They slide into place. There is the cross bar that mounts to the wall. That cross piece has notches in it and the arms and hooks slide into those notches. No glue is needed.

Answer:	The hooks can be removed but they can't slide. There's a notch in the back of the cross bar that they slide into.
Question:	Will this rack also hold snowboards
Answer:	No. The slots are just wide enough for skis.

Question:	x4s today are actually more like 1.5x3.5 - will the lag screwed provided potentially split a vertical stud approaching it from the 2 inch side
Answer:	I have 2 of them jammed into the skinny end of my studs. There isn't an issue with either one of them, but you have to hit the stud right on center
