3 best inner tube for roads
Inner tubes for roads, often referred to as bicycle inner tubes, are an essential component of bicycle tires, particularly those used in road cycling. These inner tubes play a crucial role in maintaining tire pressure and preventing flats. Here's what you need to know about them:
Composition: Bicycle inner tubes are typically made of rubber or synthetic materials designed to be both lightweight and durable. They are designed to hold air and maintain the tire's shape.
Sizing: Inner tubes come in various sizes to match different tire sizes. It's essential to choose an inner tube that corresponds to the tire size of your bicycle. Common sizes are marked on the tube's packaging and include dimensions like 700c x 23-25c or 26" x 1.75-2.25", indicating the tire's diameter and width range.
Valve Types: Inner tubes have different valve types to match the type of valve hole in the bicycle rim. The two most common valve types are Presta and Schrader:
- Presta Valve: These are slender valves with a threaded top that requires a special pump head for inflation. They are commonly found on road bikes.
- Schrader Valve: These are similar to the valves found on car tires and can be inflated with a standard pump. They are more common on mountain bikes and some hybrid bikes.
Replacing Inner Tubes: Over time, inner tubes may develop punctures or wear out. When this happens, they need to be replaced.Replacing an inner tube involves removing the tire from the rim, removing the old tube, and inserting a new one. Proper installation is crucial to prevent pinching or damaging the new tube.
Tire Pressure: Maintaining the correct tire pressure is essential for a smooth and efficient ride. The recommended tire pressure is usually indicated on the sidewall of the tire and can vary depending on the type of tire and rider preferences.
Flat Prevention: To reduce the risk of flats, cyclists often use various flat prevention techniques, such as using puncture-resistant tires, tire liners, or sealant-filled tubes. These can help protect the inner tube from punctures caused by road debris.
Maintenance: Regularly inspecting the condition of your inner tubes, valves, and tires is important. Look for signs of wear, damage, or bulging. Properly inflated and maintained inner tubes can help improve the performance and safety of your bike.
Carrying Spares: Many cyclists carry spare inner tubes, tire levers, and a pump or CO2 inflator when riding, especially on long rides. This allows them to quickly replace a flat tube and continue their ride.
In summary, inner tubes for road bicycles are essential components that help maintain tire pressure and prevent flats. Proper sizing, valve compatibility, and maintenance are important factors in ensuring a safe and enjoyable cycling experience on the road.

User questions & answers
Question: | What is the correct tube size for 28" X13/8' X15/8" tube |
Answer: | Yes |
Question: | This is what i see on my tire 700 x 28c or 28-622, does this tube fits my bike tire or not?? Thanks for your help |
Answer: | It's a heavy cord but there is no reason it won't work for a laptop unless you want a more flexible cord. |
Question: | My wheel is 28 by 1.50 700c will this tube work |
Answer: | The specs are listed under "technical details". It is basically flat against the wall. The pictures on the listing show exactly how it is installed. I have a couch pushed against mine. Before I installed this anytime the couch shifted it would knock the lamps that were plugged in out of the sockets. Those plugs were also doing some damage to the back of my couch. I got a new couch and didn't want to risk any damage. These do a perfect job and end up providing you with an additional outlet. |
Question: | My bike has 32-622 tires (700 x 32c - 28 x 1 5/8 x 1 1/4) what tube do I need |
Answer: | Not yet. Just White. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does it fix 20x |
Answer: | this might actually work a bit better than cheap speaker wire...cheap speaker wire look likes a lamp cord with the wire running side-by-side. the really expensive speaker wire has them twisting around each other. the reason is electromagnetic interference. when the wires cross at right angles, the interference between them is at its minimum. so with them twisted around each other, they come closer to that ideal ninety degrees. side-by-side, i.e. parallel, leaves them completely open to cross-talk. for most people, you'll never notice the difference. but the longer the cable, the more time there is for the signals to affect each other. now, the reason i say this might be better than regular speaker cable is, 1) it might be a higher gauge than the cheap stuff, and 2) there is a built in ground wire that the other two wires twist around. you can either leave the ground wire unconnected, and the twist will still be better than parallel... or even better: ground that wire to the chassis of your stereo somehow. that'll absorb the cross-talk even more.some have mentioned that 16 gauge might not be the best size for 100 feet. but that's only true if you're using it on an EXTREMELY high wattage stereo. if you're using it on any normal stereo, this will work fine. it can handle up to 1,600 watts or so.also don't listen to the guys that tell you you'll lose too much voltage at 100 feet. 16 gauge stranded wire only has about 4 ohms of resistance per THOUSAND feet. |
Question: | Will these work in a 30mm rim |
Answer: | Yes. This is really better cord than you usual orange cord I used to buy. As with all cord if it is twisted (to coil it) then it kind of stays in a coiled position but once you stretch it out it unwinds. Nothing permanent occurs. I have had much less problem with this cord tangling as well. It is just a little better quality. |
Question: | I just bought these. there seems to be a lot of slack when i put tube in tire. tiresays 700x25. does the fact these say”race” make them different |
Answer: | I love my electric mower after a year and a half, have two small kids, and do not miss the back pain from starting a gas mower (or the smell). 100 ft is a good size, depending on where your outlet is. I use the one in our garage and this works well. Kind of like vacuuming except, you cannot suck up your cord 😂 did that once... $20 mistake, mower just stopped. After the cord management learning curve was done, been great. |
Question: | I needed 700-23. when i put these on there's all this slack. it says it covers 20 to 25. do i just inflate with that slack? help |
Answer: | no. |

Carrying a spare inner tube, such as the Continental Race Road, can be a lifesaver.

- Threaded valve stem
User questions & answers
Question: | Will this fit a Continental Grand Prix 5000 28 mm |
Answer: | This is just large enough at 42mm maximum. |
Question: | will this work on a 700x |
Answer: | no |
Question: | My amazon search words are: 700c x 28-32mm, 27 x 1-1/4", presta valve 48mm, so will continental tubes 700 x 25-32 presta valve 42mm fit on my wheel |
Answer: | 42mm or 1.65" that's about 1-5/8" long. You can measure the length of your current tube valve or use a toothpick or stick and put in the spoke hole and put a mark with a pencil for a minimum length. |
Question: | Are these tubes considered heavy duty? Are they thicker than normal inner tubes |
Answer: | This tube fits 700 wheels from 32-47. That is a wide range. It will work with 32c. |
