Answer:	Not goat skin... The name is GATOR skin which simply means they are tough. I'll use nothing but these tires. They ride great and are incredibly puncture resistant. Answer:	The kenda K816 is designed to be a rear tire, and I don't think it is directional. However, the kenda "dart" tire is designed to be a front tire, and is directional. Answer:	Sounds like a question about clearance. On my bike (Fulcrum rim) the Gatorskin 700x28 height above the rim is 27mm and the width is 28mm inflated to 95psi. My bike came w/ 25's and newer models are coming w/ 28's so I took a chance and they fit. If you know someone with this tire on their bike, they might let you swap the front tire just to do a quick clearance check.

Answer:	I suppose that by "hard-shell" you mean the type of tire that doesn't come folded up in a box. There is no difference as far as the tire goes except that the lip that clasps on to the rim does not have a wire in it. The tire is designed so that it clasps on to the rim securely with out the need for the wire. Otherwise, there is no difference.
