You can research this by searching for "wood flooring installation guidelines" put out by the people that make flooring. Wood products installed over cement require a true vapor barrier. A seal. This product is more of a membrane that allows moisture to pass through slowly. There is an expensive adhesive that forms a vapor barrier, and otherwise I think people use plastic. |

| Answer: | I've had this in place for about 9 months functioning in a somewhat similar role. It seems to perform as I wanted (protecting a gravel filled ditch that directs water drainage on the side of a hill and keeping dirt and litter out the of ditch) on a downhill slope to - but I'm not sure how long it will last. It seems to tear somewhat quickly in areas where any abrasion such as walking on occurs. I'm concerned as it seems more tear-prone than it was last Fall when installed. Presumably this tearing is weather or sun related. |

| Answer: | Yes it can be used in that application if set up correctly. One thing to be sure of is that the fabric is not in direct contact with pump, especially at the impeller/water intake point. My suggestion is to cover fabric with decent size gravel(1/2"-3/4") on bottom of sump pump hole as to not restrict water intake or clog pump. |
