Answer:	Not according to the description, "Fits head sizes 21.5 to 22 inches." 51cm = 20.07874 inches, so 51cm is too small for this helmet, per recommended sizing. I also feel that 51cm would probably be too small as the helmet fits just right on my son's head (54.61cm = 21.5 inches). Cheers.

It really depends on the size of your child's head. This fits a head size between 18.5-20.5 inches in circumference.
