Answer:	The size is the same. My guess is that there is significantly less demand for that color so the runs are smaller. Same overhead but produces fewer pieces = higher cost per unit. THat's why I bought the aqua and not the orange - orange is my fave...and if I buy a second one (so I can keep one in my office and one at home), I might spring for the orange.

Answer:	We have several of these on multiple mountain bikes. They have held their bottles in some pretty rugged terrain and creative wipe outs lol. This is a very sturdy cage which has yet to fail. I would not hesitate to use this on any mountain bike. My husband's Stumpjumper has two of these. Go for it.
